I remember seeing your post and I loved it!! I didn’t read the comments because I knew it would be bad, but I love your honesty, I have been attacked on social media for a post I’ve made before and it’s very disheartening to see. I hate that our Country is so divided and they actually have no idea why. They think they know, and they have all the answers to fix it. So frustrating. Unity is definitely the answer, one day we’ll get there ❤️

If you want someone to think differently, lead by example. Don't push, don't indoctrinate, don't shame, just be a good person. If you disagreed with someone & they were in your face about it, the answer will always be no. I could agree with you, & it makes me want to say no. Don't patronize me.

I hate it when people think an inauguration speech actually means something. What a politician does when in office is what matters. Hey John, you know how to tell if a politician is lying? Their lips are moving. This is elementary stuff about politics.

Seek out MANY news sources. Seek sources that you agree with, AND don't agree with.
BE INFORMED!
As much as possible anyway. Sometimes the mainstream narrative isn't remotely accurate. I don't care what someone believes in or not, I only care if someone is open to listening (not just hearing, but actually, genuinely LISTENING) to both sides of an argument before forming an opinion.
That's what I respect, whether I agree with you or not.
I haven't watched the new local or national for over a year..don't miss it a bit..it's just so toxic ..I hardly ever get on FB..and when I do I feel like crud..the only thing I watch is CZcams and it's content I choose..it's so liberating..
The best way to make sure someone doesn’t agree to or even understand your point of view is to troll / abuse them on social media/real life

Your husband has realised he has missed out on his life he's still a kid only 25 married & 2 kids, I feel very sorry for this woman she seems very mature but man stop getting married so young and having kids when you're barely adults yourselves!
I would love to see you get together with Sameer Hinduja and Justin Patchin to talk about cyberbullying. They literally wrote the book(s) on the subject. Dr. Hinduja comes from a mental health approach and Patchin comes from a crimson justice angle. Interesting stuff.

I did it a long time ago. Best decision ever. About to do the same with this CZcams account I've had since 2006.
Do it! I thought I couldn’t live without it, and I deleted it, and I found out I could! In fact, my life is better for it. I found out who actually cared for me and who didn’t. If the only way you can get people to care about you and talk to you is by posting pictures of yourself or posts about yourself on Facebook then they don’t care about you. Otherwise, they would text or call.
I’ve been off since July and it’s been amazing for my mental health. I highly recommend it.
Calling out evil men or women publicly, in your home, workplace, government or church works. Do something. Stop being an ostrich. Hold people accountable for integrity.
Yeah, you might catch some people like that, but most of the time, you’re just ruining people’s lives over things you personally find offensive that do not merit such a result. Reality is you won’t like what everyone does or says, and same about you as well. Not everyone is going to agree with you on everything you say. But making people lose their jobs, their homes, all over something you just didn’t like, is it really such a worthy cause? I don’t think so.
Most of the time the calling out reflects more on the person doing it than the person being called out. And that's not a good reflection because they are almost always the evil one because their intention is usually to ruin people over petty things for their own ego.
America is angry
I think most reactions were from shock, especially since you know so much about so many things, that you were so unaware about the current events taking place. As a recent listener to your show I think I just feel confused and disappointed on your take on this. The cost of freedom is constant vigilance. You are grandstanding on how willing you are to listen to both sides but how willing would you be to let those people come in and run your house? We are in charge of our government and keeping it in check, not the other way around and need to be accountable to how we exercise that responsibility. Luckily we had our Founding Fathers take a stand against tyranny and not sit around letting it happen. It's also very contradictory that you qualify your answer that as long as they don't hurt your family which is exactly who I am trying to protect-my family . I'm all about love and forgiveness but also want to take care of those I love but putting policies in place for their best future. Maybe I'm most disappointed in Dave for putting you out there as a voice to be trusted and feeling betrayed. I don't think social media is the problem when it is allowing more voices to be heard, especially where free speech should be guaranteed, you just don't seem to have liked the responses. I'm so tired of the hypocrisy and virtue signaling and I am all on board with unity unless it's being used as a weapon to make everyone comply to un-Constitutional mandates. Also, you say you want to encourage critical thinking but are trashing those that are questioning the insanity of what is happening around them. Atleast you admit to your lack of interest and knowledge about this but I just feel so let down.
Couldnt have said it better! I'm quite shocked at the Pollyanniah view on this subject. Freedom is not free. This country was not founded by the faint of heart...and the statement about there not being any bombs disrupting the election was naive to say the least. And the whole conspiracy theory thing...ugg... I cant even begin to say how much I think is wrong with these thought. John, you're obviously a highly intelligent person and I love your show and you've taught me and many others so much. Please remember the country and the people that fought and died for the freedom to get that education and freely share your thoughts. It's under attack every day
I would not recommend inviting anyone over to your home until the pandemic is under control. Just my two cents . . .
