Rusty FRAME / BODY RESTORATION on a GQ Patrol! - 4wd build ep 2

In this video we grind off the scale and rust build up on the frame and the body of the patrol and Paint it with a product called Stone Guard! how epic did this turn out!?!?! I highly recommend this to anybody that has a rusty looking frame as it will only get worse! We suggest wire wheeling as much off as possible before painting so it can’t come back! Goodluck all!! Mate i'm loving your videos! and i'm contemplating when I switch my NP300 to a tray set up doing the same thing with the hi-lift jack!
It does look very cool in that spot! People said it will fill with mud and all that but I havnt had an issue! 😊
I purchased my bullbar on eBay, from a 4x4 parts supplier the hoop section is a bolt on. So you can get a 3 hoop and single hoop and just change them as you feel the need or just leave them all off. It’s a MCC bullbar.
I’ll check them out cause that sounds pretty cool!!
Roam Lyfe I ordered the single loop, and it came with the triple loop bolted on and the single loop separately as that’s how the ship them out

Awesome work mate. I'm currently doing the same on my chopped gu. Started off with bonnet not closing properly , now it in a million peices getting total over haul. Then this popped up on my you tube. Weird ... Iv got the same rust in same place doing the same thing. And it feels good to work through it properly. I'm asking myself. Where does it end ... Also raptor liner on tray next. Time and money. It absorbed so much if it. But I love the beast. Hope your girls keeps going good. Nissan life rocks.

Hey man wat brand of rust converter did you use, build is looking mint seen every episode your inspiring me a heap bro i have a rig far worse than yours the chassis rail at the bottom is almost completely eaten away,
edit is sweet. maybe just check some of the audio levels of the intro shocks @00:15 secs and error part @1:23. its a bit loud!

What’s the purpose of chassis bracing on a 4wd? I can’t imagine it twisting too much under typical 4wd load?
I’ve seen a patrol twist from that point so I just decided that since the tray is off I’d get it done, it’s very cheap insurance!!

ill give you a bit of a tip, start with edges when painting
Oh really!? So paint all around the edges then work into the middle! I also seen some circle technique to avoid the stripy look!
