I did work at my university's book store, they needed help at the beginning of the semester and hired extra temp employees. And one day there's a student who comes in to get a pre-order for his textbooks. But I had to tell him that we set a specific day for students to pick them up (basically it was two days later). He then says, "But I got an email saying my order was done". I told him what I told everyone else, that the email was just a confirmation that the credit card information was accepted and passed. But he still kept fussing about wanting it now, saying as if it was the most absurd thing ever, "I have to wait two whole days?!". I couldn't reason with him or explain the situation any clearer that all other students got when they thought their order was ready too. I didn't see what was wrong with the date cause school didn't even start for another week. My supervisor takes over and finally she tells one of us to grab his order. The employee comes back with the bag and there's only like one book in there! That student was the most ridiculous customer I had to deal with.

Right? I thought the same about nitrous oxide. Nate mentioned that the sedative that dentists use is the same stuff that makes cars go fAST (and kinda made it sound like "oh god they're drugging us with car fuel"), and I thought "So? Not a big deal. Chemicals can have multiple purposes, I won't object to that unless there was a bad side effect besides making people drunk a good half of the day."

I thought when you said Steak and Cheese, that's what you meant but if you haven't tried it, you should but I personally go for Meatballs and Spinach which on Pizza is the best combination of toppings, I actually enjoy Anchovies and knew I'd love it which is actually a bizarre ingredient, it's like some Nitrogen Triiodide of salt and that's why I get it.

People have suggested looking at the SCP illustrated series, but I’d say FIRST:
watch either The Volguns guide to SCP video, or the Down The Rabbit Hole episode on SCP. They are both great primers to the universe. Volgun focuses on the kayfabe of the universe, while DTRH looks at the IRL events surrounding the wiki. I think DTRH would be a better reaction, but I recommend maybe watching Volguns off camera as well.
I worked at subway and it's painful how relateable this is. (Not everything but a lot of the beginning stuff for sure. Especially the coworkers. And the alarm thing happened to me to but like at the night shift when we were closing. So we had to get the Assistant manager on the phone. Who was asleep mind you. We had to pray she would wake up. Then come down there and take care of the freakin alarm. Cause we had accidentally locked ourselves out in the process. (long story)
And I wish that was the worst thing that happened. But I cut my hand like 3 times at that store. (Tomato slicer mishap. Thing was old and unreliable) And one time it happened WHILE someone was waiting on their sandwhich and my co worker was on break. So instead of helping me or at least handing the person their sandwhich I had to do it while being very careful not to get blood on the bag! (I couldn't find the bandages) It was a heck of a night. But thankfully I finally found and managed to bandage my hand after that.
A few weeks after that I got fired. And they didn't even tell me why just. "I wasn't working out." And it had nothing to do with the tomato slicer. Infact they were hesitant to even tell me THAT much. I can't go into more detail without giving away more personal stuff. But the whole thing just sucked. Would I work at subway again? Oh sure absolutely. I loved the job. ... Just not THAT subway. Again I can't really say why without revealing people and locations etc.

Wow, you got a self serve certificate? You trying to be a chef? I'm curious because it's actually a level higher than the normal food handler card. My partner is actually taking the test next month for one of they're classes towards their cooking degree. It's been fun watching how excited they get trying new recipes and trying to tweak them to make them better.
The first thing I saw when I opened this video was the NiGHTS JoD poster in the background, and I got really happy.
Ugh, this happened at a KFC. We were waiting for our food, the place was pretty packed. And the KFC had been understaffed, so it was like a couple people in a panic, trying to get everyone's order out, when this guy comes in and starts shouting at them for not being prepared. :/ I felt bad for the employees.
Subway are closing few stores lol, subways back in the day had fly problems.

I went to culinary school and this guy at a fast food store placed my raw burger on the grill without gloves and didn’t even wash his hands then got gloves to make the rest, I immediately asked them to make it again because I didn’t want to risk cross contamination. And mind you I’m not someone who likes confrontation or complaining about things, but this crossed a line for me but I got a new burger 🍔 so I was happy otherwise.

I work at dominos and it's Fecking Horrible mainly because 1 they close around 2 a.m. on weekends and 12 on weekdays. Some of the managers I've worked with were Great!! But lunch/dinner rush is a pain for all of them.
I have a similar story to the mold story. My first job was at KFC. And we had a thing of coleslaw mix that was a week expired. And I threw it away. I had a manager that pulled it out of the trash, and told me it was fine, and to make it...
Let me repeat that... She pulled expired coleslaw mix out of the trash, and had me make it.. Absolutely disgusting... Fortunately nobody got served that coleslaw. Because it smelled so bad that, even though I was prepping it in a small room in the back of the store, customers in the front of the store were complaining about the smell.
And the same manager that pulled it out of the trash, and demanded I make it, had the nerve to come back and bitch at me for making it...
I don't eat subway sandwiches but I do like subway I eat there sometimes guess what I order hint not a meatball sub or any sandwich at my local subway they have mini Blank there round and have cheese on them there one of the best blanks better than most blank places I like blank without toppings

Right...the yoga mats...oh boy. Here’s what I think some people have a hard time getting. Most chemicals can be used for more than one purpose. For example, alcohol. It can be used to drink, but also used to clean. Ethanol for the drinking, isopropyl for the cleaning. And yet, you don’t see people up in arms about that. Long story short, I highly doubt that they were using the exact same formula for yoga mats to make their bread, because I’m pretty sure that’s a health code violation.
Mold takes steroids, bro. If you have mold on something, heat will do absolutely nothing to kill it. And when you get to the point that the mold is visible, ie., the furry stuff, then that's when it's sprouting. Meaning that mold has already infested everything int he bag and has been there for a while. If you see mold on bread, even a tiny spot, throw it away. If you eat it, most of the time it is harmless, but you're taking a gamble. Because sometimes the mold on there can result in seizures and permanent brain damage.

Man that waiting for food bit. I work at a burger place and when we get doordash or grub hub we wait in till the driver comes to make the fries so it adds about 2-3ish min wait. And most are like ok. But some stray flipping their shit about delaying their delivery or some shit. I stop listen when the "voice" starts.

Not sure what the guy on the rights name is, but honest to God, the one time I've had to wait for a pizza at Little Caesar's, I didn't complain a bit and just waited in the store for my pie. Don't fucking complain if they can't get it out in a second, these people are just doing their job.
Agree, I don't like complaining, plus who knows, if they get mad at you, they could spit in your food without your knowledge, so just best to be nice.
