Great video! Loved your coverage of multiversus and I felt like there's characters for everyone in the game like for me Tom and Jerry was my cartoon I loved watching the episodes when they were made in technicolor so they were my go to in the game. But I think what led to the the downfall with the roster that it became a commercial for upcoming wb projects like new Rick and Morty season or black Adam movie hence why they were in the game before iconic wb characters like joker or Animaniacs

@FightZilla yes another thing to add is Reindog I guess is apparently representing never ending story but he's like not even in the movie they could have easily brought atreyu as a fighter. It just suck they neutered the roster
Damn what an underrated channel, did the youtube algorithm is doing its job ? at least for me it is (it seems). I hope you continue with this quality videos, I can hear in your voice you have passion for fighting games and you just get a new sub.

Fantastic editing. I wish you would've gone a little more in depth as to why it failed (bad balance? Go more detail into grinding?) But this is an absurdly good snippet video.
Thanks! I should've added more, but I wanted to focus on the causal aspect of the game. But 100% if you did play the game competitively in any way, the game was going to feel off because of the online and the sloppiness of the game itself.
I'm one of the ppl who played this game during is closed beta tests & got the founder's packs. As fun as this game still is for me, its disappointing hear it shutting down perhaps they did lean too much h to the fighting game pros online only is a big issue not enough modes for casual players like story mode an actually good arcade mode & limited roster & maps .The foundation s of a great game is there if only the des & WB execs they can bring out that

Yea, I'm just gonna take my victory lap on this one. The game was "barely an idea" trying to be a nostalgia trip with le funny references (dude is that BIG CHUNGUS?). All the included characters not being established outside of their particular niche (like it's just batman, and that's it) hurt it greatly as well. Smash might be fun to play on it's own but do you really think people would still be playing it if it's roster wasn't actually both diverse and fun? Would people be interested in Smash if it didn't have the massive soundtrack? the excellent stages? It fulfils the lifelong dream of your average loser gamer of seeing their favorite characters beat the crap out of each other for no reason, but was anyone really chomping at the bit to see Bugs get into a fight with the Iron Giant? WB just isn't that sort of company where you look at it and go "boy do I love how them and their properties" the way one might view Nintendo.
The game was always a gimmick, and it died a gimmick. Truly, a certifiable "WB Games" moment if I've ever seen one.
I think there was potential with the WB IPs like Neo fron Matrix going against Bane. But WB didn't know their audience, which is why it's weird to see Bugs Bunny in a game with someone from Game of Thrones. If WB had a good roster, it would've done well.
