The snowcaster snow shovel is the most fun I’ve had shoveling snow. I have own one since I bought my building seven years ago. It allows me to clear the front pedestrian way, side walkway and alley in less than 40 minutes-about 300 feet worth.
I get neither tired nor my back hurts like I used to with a traditional snow shovel.
Bar none it is the best product I found then, and although it is well used, still looks new. They are built like a tank! BTW, go length wise, it will be faster. It works just like a snow plow-only better because you burn calories and are not polluting the environment with that darn noise or fumes, unless of course you have gas-then it is an entirely different business 😁

I agree with your approach to snow clean up. In WI a combination of snow pushing and snow blowing is the best practice. I can push it to the sides before leaving for work and since I'm OCD do clean up after work with a blower if needed or maybe a little shovel lifting will do the job. For me clearing the walks is important for visitors, pedestrians and school kids before leaving the house, unlike many of my lazy neighbors. People should consider the extra effort it takes to push a wide blade like this. I often use a snow pusher and quickly clear walks much to my neighbors astonishment. Fitness and good health is the key to home ownership when fast snow removal is desired. Or heart attacks will ensue.

as far as i'm concerned the shovel has been eliminated by the snow plow
you don't have to lift the snow if you use a snow plow
      just push it
and with a dual angle snow plow you use the same energy you would use with a snow blower
at a fourth of the cost
here's a video of one being used

The snowcaster rocks. Totally worth the money in time saving. I have a big driveway and to clear 2” of snow with my snowblower takes about 20-30 minutes.
With the snowcaster I push the snow to the edges and plow it off with 1 run of the snowblower. 10-12 minutes.
Great for up to 3”. I highly recommend it.

Dude you can buy a brand new snowblower at right around the same price as a snowcaster, and a snowblower is capable of much more than a shovel. The only way I'll ever agree with a snowcaster is when they start priceing them like actuall snowshovels that only cost 10 dollars to make unlike a complex piece of machinery.

Duuuuuuuuuuude!!! Outstanding video!!! The instructions were clutch. I was getting thrown off by the angle it was at. I was wondering if I'd gotten a wrong part or something. So watching this answered any questions I had. On the grease- great idea. I didn't have any, so I used Vaseline.
My motivation for getting this is simply to clear my driveway so I can get to work. I've got a long driveway with a slight up incline to get to the road. The road is a 45MPH speed limit, so on days I don't have time to shovel- I've gotta get a rolling start, and if a car is coming on the road, I've gotta back up and repeat the process.
I also like Kevin's idea of pushing it to the sides and use the snow blower when I get back from work.
Once again, great video and thanks!!
Edit: I subscribed- you've got a good way of explaining things.

About the edges, shove about six inches off of grass. Blade won’t damage grass and you will have enough surface area for multiple snow falls.
About sidewalks, if snow is compacted by foot or vehicular traffic, snowcaster will bounce off-same as ice. Product is made to glide effortlessly.
If snow is wet, I have had to shovel every two inches. The most light snow I’ve ever had was five inches. Easy as butter-effortless with my 36 inch unit.
I don’t think it would be fair for me to give the snowcaster a five out of five starts. The time, back health, calories burnt and health benefits, overall value, etc. this beauty has saved and given me is worth ten times that! Can you tell I love, love, LOVE my snowcaster shovel?!

The Snowcaster looks great but I think you can work faster and easier with a 36 inch ice rink shovel with the white poly blade and regular handle. That's what I use. It cleans up the crumbs nicely, this thing seems to have trouble doing that. The snowcaster costs? and a the white poly blade ice rink shovel costs $65.00 CDN! Nice video. Thanks.

Will never buy another snowcaster product again ! When we went to move the snow this year we noticed that the coverage had decreased and we left behind a sheen of snow on the left and right. Looks like the blade is warped We bought the 48" snowcaster for $154.66 cdn last year so the one year warranty was just up. Snowcaster suggested we buy a new blade on Amazon.com But all I found was a 36" blade for $50 US No 48" blade or shovel. And nothing on the Canadian site. So I bought a 36" Yardworks Rink Shovel from Canadian Tire for $44.99 Cdn and it comes with a 4 year warranty ! And I deal with my local Canadian Tire store. Used it for the first time today and far superior to the Snowcaster. Will never buy another snowcaster product again !

The 48 shovel is 107usd on amazon right now. I have the 24 and 36 and they are working great this season with the snow we got in chicago. The blades being made of uhmw-pe should be very durable seeing as it has a high melting point. Warping of your blade is a head scratcher.
