After Madurai-Tiruvalla bus travel details I am back with another bus travel details from Madurai.
In today's video, there are details of Kollam Fast Passenger Bus Yatra departing from Madurai at 12.00 noon.
Apart from Madurai-Kollam, the remaining three services are super fast buses.
Kollam - Madurai is the permit that has been operating this route for more than 3 decades.
This bus is ATM 217 handcraft of Mavelikkara rw Mesthiri. This is also a Mavelikkara built bus that is kept so well.
Driver Ravi Chandran & Conductur Harrison
The bus fare is Rs 265 for this journey of about 270 km.
The bus departs from Madurai Mattuthavani Bus Stand, Platform No. 5. Buses via Tenkasi start from here.
The route is via #Thirumangalam, #Krishnankovil, #Srivilliputhur, Rajapalayam, Tenkasi, Chengota, Thenmala, Punalur, Kottarakkara and Kundara.
The bus has arrived. Ernakulam Super Fast Bus and Kollam Bus entered the arena together. Ernakulam Bus departs from Platform No. 1 and Kollam Bus from Platform No. 5.

Being a Tirunelvelian, I love this route thenkasi- trivandrum via thenmala. Similarly Alazhapuzha - kollam - thenkasi. I have covered entire Kerala on a bullet trip but this route is something special and close to heart. I must say these two routes are the best in entire Kerala for bikers.

@@Josfscaria yes agreed. two weeks back I made that trip. It was scary - nerve chilling experience - once in a lifetime checklist. This route has the best roads good sceneries and view points. Every traveler can enjoy. Athirapally- valparai s strictly for adventurous people. Personally I would not suggest for bikers. Because if an elephant comes n d middle, bikers can’t even make an u-turn. Very dense forest and risky ones.

ഞാൻ ഒരുപാട് യാത്ര ചെയ്ത ബസ്... മധുരൈ അരവിന്ദ് കണ്ണാശുപത്രിയിൽ ചികിത്സക്കു പോയിരുന്നത് ആദ്യം കൊല്ല'ത്തു നിന്നുമുള്ള മീറ്റർഗേജ് ട്രെയിനായ നാഗൂർ എക്സ്പ്രസ്സിലായിരുന്ന യാത്ര പിന്നീട് കൊല്ലം-മധുര KSRTC Fast Passenger ൽ ആക്കി.ഹൃദ്യമായ യാത്ര. കൊല്ലത്തു നിന്ന് രാത്രി 10.45 പുറപ്പെട്ട് വെളുപ്പിന് 4.45 ന് മധുരയിൽ എത്തിച്ചേരും. ആദ്യകാലത്ത് മധുരൈ Railway Station നു സമീപം പളംഗാണത്തം Stand ൽ ആയിരുന്നു ചെന്നിരുന്നത്.പിന്നീടാണ് മാട്ടുത്താവണി Stand ലേക്ക് മാറ്റിയത്.തിരികെ വരുമ്പോൾ ഉറുകുന്നിലെ ഒരു Hotel ൽ 4.30 ആകുമ്പോൾ എത്തും. ചൂടു പൊറോട്ടയും ബീഫ് ഫ്രൈയും ചൂട് ചായയും .. അന്നത്തെ ആ ഓർമ്മ മധുരതരം തന്നെ.ഈയാത്രയോടുള്ള ഇഷ്ടം കാരണം കണ്ണിനു സുഖമില്ല എന്ന് അമ്മയോട് കള്ളം പറഞ്ഞ് മിക്കവാറും രണ്ടു മാസം കൂടുമ്പോൾ മധുരയ്ക്ക് പോയിരുന്നു.I LOVE KSRTC... I had a travel experiance few years ago. I travelled from Aluva to Punalur through KL Super Past Bus service and i experianced with very fast driving. But, the seat condition of the bus was very bad. Anyhow, I REQUEST THE KERALA ROAD TRANSPORT CORPORATION TO IMPROVE THE SEAT CONDITION ESPECIALLY INTER DISTRICT ( INSIDE KERALA ) AND STATE AS WELL. Transport bus service somehow modernises in State of TN. Last but not least, KRTC has well equipped DRIVERS than Tamilnadu. By S.Durairaj, Advocate, Coimbatore.
