I've been waiting for this reaction so hard. Best Kai Wachi EP no doubt but I also see that he shines the most in his solo stuff, most collabs seem to not work that well
oof the sub absolutely got demolished on 6 Feet Deep. Don't get me wrong I love both artists but I have a feeling the volume of the layers shot up into a bus limiter so hard that the transients just got squashed. Also yeah missing highs.
I actually agree with him about Kai Wachi and Kannibalen, most of the time. I'd say he is the best sound design wise (not always of course) and it is what helps make him the best overall. Not that the others are bad, but he just usually is _slightly_ better. They're all so good it is close. I mean, BTSM and Dabin can contend with him when they are actually trying (like Spiders is nutty, and might be my fav song actually). Dabin can be great, but it's when he's not making more mainstream-y type of music (they're still good). BTSM, Apashe, and Dabin do have better mixdowns more often though, but Kai's sounds are just amazing. Granted that, I do like Apashe, his sound design can be a little more minimalistic with more focus on the instruments. His production is top quality though. BTSM and Dabin can contend but both usually just don't. Sometimes BTSM just releases a banger out of nowhere though, but a lot of their songs have several issues being a little generic/mainstream-y (those are sometimes accompanied with unique sounds too so I get conflicted with the song) as well or also (like in this video) trying to be heavy while sounding a bit weak. I have a lot of respect for all 4 though, and I listen to them all so nothing personal. I'm happy when any of them release. I mean production wise when they actually spend time working hard, meaningful productive time, they're all about equal (Dabin might be the best, I'm not entirely sure though, but he's damn good).

Yeah, it’s sucks that the collabs are disappointing, especially with the one on Nimda. Nimda usually creates crazy bangers but the one here just doesn’t sound right and the mix down as mentioned here is really rough, which is weird because both artists have great mix downs despite their styles being so drastically heavy.
