This video is a long video but it gets into enough detail for anyone who is converting their race car to paddle shifting or learning some tips to improve a current system. We explain the basics of paddle shifting systems, show typical diagrams, review manufactures, demo different fill station options. Lastly we show our race cars paddle shifting approach. - Sport
Hey Mark.
Another great episode showing the engineering detail that has gone into creating a top tier F1000.
Thankyou for the shout-out and of course, showing Gracie around Eagle's Canyon Raceway.
I never miss an episode and enjoy watching you strive for any possible improvement to bring down that lap time.
No doubt if I was there studying your telemetry, I'd find you a couple more seconds a lap...
Thanks Warren, It was a lot of work putting this one together with enough detail. Grace was great! Yes, when you get to the states you will dig the telemetry and data acquisition in general!
Having just received my MME paddle shifters and actuator with integrated valves, I am very impressed at first glance. They appear to be very nicely machined and designed parts. I will be installing on my M1-powered car using the all-new "US Sportscar" firmware which addresses many of the shortcomings with the GPRP package (such as the need for a half shift to neutral for bike gearboxes).
That is great, please let us know how well the MME solution works. Yes, GPRP does not support half-shifts. One reason I use Geartronics package not GPRP. Thanks for the note and let us know how it works.
Outstanding content!
Military training means I am an expert in death by powerpoint. Takes years to master paying attention and not tun......................... Where was I?
Oh yea. Can you give the military a call and tell them this is hows it's done?
I forgot to reply and say how I laughed at the "powerpoint" comment. so true... thanks
That's a pricey system. I'll be competing in a fsae for school and been looking for a paddle shift system affordable for us students for you know of any system been looking and no luck
Yes, for lower cost I would consider flatshifter max. May do what you are needing. thanks for the comment
