  • The proper light and space and time and mindset and music coalesced into this small film. Enjoy.

Nice video, Chuck. A few quick questions.
    1) Earlier when I asked, you said there was no recreational boating. But seeing this video makes me ask if there is any commercial sport fishing where people can pay to go out into the deep water for a day of fishing on a boat? Or at least some kind of tour cruize on the water?
    2) Are there any restaurants down by the docks where you can eat the freshest catches of the day?
    3) In the scene near the end where there were some people were eating and many folding chairs lined up along the concrete river bank, was it just a bunch of people enjoying the river for the day or was it a special event or festival of some sort?

Just recently in the past month, an existing marina has been seriously spiffed up with a new park and access... It looks like some boats are there. I think all of them a owned by one person, or a single company. Much like a guy owning 5 buses to send out on transport missions. There are a zillion seafood joints here. Who knows where the fish come from. I see people pulling in nets on the beach which are empty. The massive live fish tanks at these restaurants are not being filled from local waters.... The long concrete wall with kids hanging out is at the mouth of the Han River on the peninsula side. There are some street vendors that put the chairs out there. It has been a popular place for people to hang out since I've been here. The vendors are not always there, but it seems like kids are, Also, the vendors come and go. I have no idea if they are following a Viet holiday calendar. Cheers. Are you coming to DaNang?

@@chuckmyntti Thanks for the info, Chuck. I definitely intend to head for DaNang. It's just matter of when. About 3 years ago, I began to give serious thought about moving there. I had pretty much decided I was moving internationally. I just wasn't certain where to, but DaNang was my first choice. Then I had several health issues including both knee and one hip replacement plus another serious health problem I am still being treated for. This combined with still waiting to find out if I have to have my other hip replaced has delayed all my plans. There is no doubt of what I want to do. I want to move there. I just have to feel confident that the significant health issues are behind me. Before the end of 2024, I intend to make the trip. It's just a question of whether it will just be a short tourist visit or an exploratory trip to determine if I could live there.

@@chuckmyntti A fair amount. I currently owned my second motorcycle, but I've never driven in traffic conditions like you have there.
