I once played 3 different missions consecutively, starting from Pro, then interm and finally amateur and those 3 times i got killed the moment I put a foot in the House... at least the Pro one was the fastest, it had just been like 20seconds since we started the round and we got wiped out without having no chance to test what it was at all.

People are saying this is fake, so I got some proof. In the first second of the video, I turn around and you can see the "Team Sanity" for a split second. You can use " , " and " . " to go frame by frame in youtube videos and you can see that my sanity is at 100%. EDIT: Also as Skye Phoenix said in the replies you can actually still hear the handler at the start, which proves it was at the beginning of the contract. I cut out selecting the start because I did AFK for a little bit, so that's the reason why it starts mid-way through the beginning :)
The Team Sanity just showed that you got REALLY unlucky w/your questions. You could've been sitting in the truck or popped some pills. But the opening of the truck and (more importantly) still being able to hear the handler explain the job show that it's the beginning.
You can also see the door was initially locked, meaning it hadn't been unlocked/started yet. Unless the ghost was already hunting (but you can see the activity which shows it's not), this was a completely fresh start. Ouija Boards drain sanity rather fast as did the oni messing around with stuff, there were several factors that lead to it being so quick. That's just my take though.
Did you block your voice or something? mainly because the Ouija Board reacted 3 times with the light flashing and turning off repeatedly and then you turned it on for a fourth time, which resulted with the ghost spawning on the Ouija Board which killed you outright... oh, yeah, just note, when you use the Ouija and it Hunts, the ghost will spawn where the Ouija is at...

When i first started playing, i had a round where I walked into Tanglewood street house, saw two plush bunnies looking at me in the hallway, and then got hunted by a revenant and died.
actually he triggered the Quija board a bunch of times, and every time he triggered it and there's no response he loses a ton of sanity, he was probably at 0 sanity after he triggered it twice.
I've had something like this. I was playing with a mate, I don't remember the map, but I had entered the house with a thermometer, flashlight and video camera. Found low temperatures in the entrance area (kitchen), placed the camera and exited to check the angle. The angle was shit so I went back in to readjust. Soon as I went to pick up the camera, the hunt began and the ghost was a metre from me. I died, and my friend played for 10-15 more minutes without a hunt starting.
A friend of mine managed to die even faster, he walk into the school's entrance and as soon as he was in the door was slammed close and a Banshee sitting in the school's entry hall killed him, because sanity meter be dammed when a you're marked as a target.
I've been killed just as quickly, playing random multiplayer lobbies. They all walked into this same house found the ghost room in the garage. I walked in it immediately hunted and spawned on top of me, dead in seconds of walking in the house. Granted I was afk for 2-3 minutes they were inside messing with it. It was a Demon
I’ve had worse. I walked into the house and asked one question through the spirit box and the ghost was in the hallway by the front door and it started hunting so my run ended in less than a minute
Well, that's why on this difficulty it is advised to take Crucifix with you as one of the starting items. Happens a lot in small locations like this one.
@@dominikmagnus I dont know the change logs but this guy only got attacked cause he failed a ouija board three times in a row which dropped his sanity to 0. Usually that wont happen unless you get as unlucky as this guy. Sorry for the passive aggressive comment tho :/
@@envo9059 don't worry about it. It's a usual for comments. Some people including me sometimes got our sanity drained by a ghost in a matter of 10-20 seconds. Especially on a small house. Since everything is close by, every event triggered by a ghost have a good chance to affect your sanity, so overly active ghost can get your sanity to 50% pretty easily, if stars align. And since I'm this much unlucky and since cross works when in your hands, my first venture (if I play alone) into small houses is with a cross. Since small house is so small theres always a bigger chance to get a hunt when a ghost is near you and can see you right away. But if you have a cross in your hands you eliminate this possibility. It's not a tactic for everyone, i guess. But if you get 1 on a d6 50% of the times, then you might as well use it.
Failing Ouija board questions can do two things to make the ghost hunt 1) Lower your sanity to the point where it would start hunting anyway 2) Make the ghost instantly hunt regardless of team sanity level and regardless of contract difficulty. You could quite literally do an Amateur map, still have 4+ minutes until the ghosts hunting ability is unlocked, fail a question, and then get a hunt.
@@seanclough5861 this is an older version of phas, but I think it still works around the same. Here we can’t hear his microphone audio, but asking a question that isn’t programmed to register will fail and result in losing sanity.

It's all about luck. A banshee can hunt as soon as you enter and a ouija board lowers sanity and ends safe time if there is any time.
