Some really nice bands this time.
I knew before watching that EPICA was my favorite - since I knew about them before. Also, Simone Simons's duet with Roy Khan, The Haunting (Somewhere in Time), is one of my favorite songs. :)

if i had to pick one it would be EPICA - Unleashed - Holland mostly cause they sounded a bit like evanescence ..... much love from hamilton ontario canada

I'd say that EPICA has more in common with Nightwish than they do with Evanescence.

Ah, I think I can see why you would say that. They do have somewhat similar voices, though Simone Simons has had classical training, and I don't think Amy Lee has had it (or not as much, at least).

With due admiration and appreciation for EPICA, I actually preferred listening to the three UK bands: Boston Manor, Black Peaks, and KOYO. (It's sort of like the difference in listening to the "Game of Thrones" theme music and Booker T and the MG's [sic, spelled differently between albums] "Green Onions." I'll take the last-named instrumental every time!)
