      @@MonBriella Since there are many stores inside the Tokyo Station, they offer a special ticket called "entry ticket". With it, you can just enter the station and shop inside.

    My first week in Japan, I took the Shinkansen to Osaka. Since then, I lost count on how many times I have walked through Tokyo Station, so seeing this just brings these memories to life.

    • @VSV_Japan
      @VSV_Japan  Před 3 lety

      Did you get lost inside the first time you went to Tokyo station? When I went there for the first time, I was only 10 years old. My mother and I were walking around along with my little brother from Marunouchi side and found ourselves at Yaesu side but we got so tired to go back to Marunouchi side. So we took a taxi and asked the driver "Can you take us to the other side of Tokyo station?" 😄

      The gate I went through was a south Marunouchi gate.There is one more very similar at the north gate. Many Japanese old architectures are asymmetric but Tokyo Station is exceptional. That may be one of the reasons people often get lost inside. 😄

So I thought about renting a car and shoot a video from inside. But I wonder if people rather want to see the atmosphere inside the bus? I would appreciate your advice.

      Video Street View Japan let’s find out what other viewers thought, but as you pointed out, is to see the atmosphere inside the buses, and the different neighborhood they run through, no need to rent a car, isn’t the same feeling, I live in Panama City, but will look on internet for those routes. • @VSV_Japan
      @VSV_Japan  Před 3 lety +3

      Aside from the regular train ticket to go into the station, there is a special ticket just to enter the station for ¥140. Of course you can't ride a train with this ticket but this is for people who send off friends and families at the train platform. You can use this "entry ticket" to go not only to the local train platforms but also to the Shinkansen platforms. It's effective for 2 hours.

  • @jasonyong1075
    @jasonyong1075 Před 3 lety

    Great video! Was wondering do you need to pay to purchase a ticket to get to the inner station shopping street such as Gransta? And does the ticket allows to go in and out of the exits as many times as you want for a certain time period?

    • @VSV_Japan
      @VSV_Japan  Před 3 lety +2

      Unfortunately you need to buy a ticket to go into Tokyo station. But they offer a special ticket that only lets you into the station for ¥140. This ticket is only valid for the entry purpose and you can't ride a train. Also it's only valid for 2 hours and once you go out of the station, that will be it. If you wish to go in again, you need to buy the ticket again. I wish they offered a refund for the entry ticket if you buy something inside but they don't. It's a shame... Anyway thank you very much for watching! 😄

      We are used to wearing a mask since way before COVID19. Especially in winter time, when people catch a cold we quickly wear a mask so other people won't be affected. I think it's part of our culture already.
