#EastEnders - Zábava
Arguably one of the best Eastenders episodes ever
I 100% agree.
Agreed
Yeah a really good episode, great acting by AW
No argument there
Today's stuff just doesn't compare, it's almost a 100 percent different show,
This was 23 years ago but I always remember this frantic episode!
I really remember this episode... For some strange reason... I thought he only owed £100...
The craziest thing was when he started to get back on his feet and he actually got out of bankruptsy!
Real acting back then. I was 16 then I still remember this
This episode was so GOATED, great filming techniques with long takes of Ian desperately running around the square
more relevant in this day and age back then. Mark was a decent guy
I loved 2000 as a year so many great episodes a lot of people think the first half was boring but i thought it was great compared to future years
2:13 The famous line before it was famous...
Oh my God.
Incredible spot
well done
I like how it's set in real time. Watching the half hour as Ian was desperately holding his life together. One of the best episodes in my opinion
matt r si. he l. I took up. the real tine. f
Agreed
Love Phil sorting the Beales out.
24 copied Eastenders
Love how 'Money's too tight to mention' by Simply Red is playing in the chippy!
Eastenders was class back then.
I agree
Cl(ass).
Totally agree, pile of wank now, i just watch the old ones on drama channel, cant stomach latest version, isn beale aint even in anymore!
@@PeaveyPV20 he's Cumin back in mid 2022
is monim
Nick Cotton & his omlette lol, Mark Fowler is a good friend.
This was an an amazing period in time, so much memories …… miss it so much
Watch drama .this episode is on Friday
Old big mobile phones,no CZcams yet, still VHS you can watch, cassette and cds players.
And this Episode was great one .I miss the early 2000s,Best EE Era.
Funny how he pushes people and takes the bank notes on cash machines and funny to see Nick cooking
@@KmT81 DVD was a totally new format back in 2000....
Should have taken his car to, we buy any car for at least 6k, if it was worth 20k they would’ve offered about 15k,
The way Phil Mitchell exhales menacingly through every word, chilling. You know you’re in trouble..
Phil giving Ian a lesson...
Truth hurts!
@@kevinprior3549 Ian had it coming for so long and everything Phil said was absolutely correct! Phil had him bang to rights!!
Ian deserved it. Ian robbed Phil, even though they were partners then had the audacity to ask him for more money but deny he'd taken any money to begin with. If you're a bastard on your way to the top of the mountain, don't bitch and whine when people pay you back for what you did (at worst) or enjoy your suffering (at best) when you come down the other side.
@@ThePrinceOrtmayer Too bloody right he deserved it. Ian was such a weasel!!!
@@ThePrinceOrtmayerwhat were they partners in…?
One of the most memorable episodes.
Nick Cotton was a legend here 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love him
Karma got him bad though.
I had no idea until much later that he played George Harrison in an Unauthorized Movie about The Beatles that was filmed in 1979. Dick Clark the Host of American Bandstand got sued for 100 Million Dollars but they settled. They were made to look like selfish opportunistic individuals who backstabbed Pete Best but it wasn't until 1995 did the truth come out in Anthology.
Nick Cotton was Albert Square's resident troll! Hilarious in this scene.
I know he was clearly loving seem ian grovel
Pantomime villain lol
He was good at making omelettes too apparently!
Norman Stanley Fletcher from Porridge
Nick was probably the biggest wind up merchant ever on the square, most of the time he seemed to exist purely to aggravate people as much as possible 😂
So many classic characters all through this episode. Back when EastEnders was actually worth watching.
Can't Pay? We'll Take Ian Beale Away!
Underrated comment 👏🏾
Wtf is this comment? this isn't some macho stand-off, this is a mans life we're talking about here.
@@fiddlecastro1453 It's fictitious.
Quality comment! 👍👏😂😂😂 couldn't think of a better one, lol 😂
@@fiddlecastro1453 it's not that deep
amazing to see the sets so much bigger back then.
I was born in 83 In my house growing up watched this religiously, it used to be good in the 80s n 90s early 00s! Pony now, shocking 🙈
From 2007 eastenders a flop
What a troll from Nick 😂
Especially him and his son's evil laugh. 😆
If you're stupid enough to believe Nick Cotton would give you a penny, ya kinda deserve it!
Phil's classic "no" when Ian offers the deal of a lifetime. Talk about the winning pitch going for a Burton! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
He dealt crushing blows to Ian
@@jordywoody14 Is mark really skint or is he just saying that so he doesn't have to give his cousin ian some money?
Imagine if Phil says that to Bowser in The Super Mario Bros Movie, when he demands the gates to be open.
Ian was pathetic but Phil was evil and he got such pleasure out of that🤦♀ lol
@@cherylstevens4717 He says he blew it all on his bike or something.
Laura was a great young woman. Ian treated her really badly as you'd expect.
Agreed. Laura deserved better.
2:13 "ive got nothing left"
Ian Beale going to Nick Cotton,,he must have been desperate and also only to find Nick was playing him😂😂😂😂
What money? The money you're going to lend me 😂
The whole business with the omelette 😂😂
You can't rush these things Joe. Ioved Nick Cotton because he was so often penniless and addicted homeless, and the second he ever got any stability he became such a narcissistic wannabe show off.
@@patriceaqa288 facts
"Oi!" you don't hear that being said much anymore
"Please Phil give me one last chaaaaaaaaance"! 🤣🤣
(Phil says) Noo! 🤣🤣
I remember watching this with my Mum who hated Ian with a passion and as the credits were playing at the end, she punched the air and shouted "Yes, couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke!"
😆 🤣 😂
Because Ian Beale is a waster.
@@jeromebano1125 Yes of course! That was funny.
When Phil gives Ian a lecture on good manners.
@@robertlakey6659 When I used to watch EastEnders I always enjoyed watching the scenes between Phil & Ian always very entertaining.
Ian was the business. Brilliant
When Charlie punchec Ian and he fell under the table 😂I haven't seen ee for years love watching the old episodes miss Charlie, zoe, little mo big mo ❤the slaters
The good old times best episode even in 2022
Back when eastenders was class and worth watching
Mel looked cracking back then
Absolutely love Phil so honest
The way Charlie's girls laughed at Ian after he punched Ian was like a Greek chorus. He just goes around using others and being nasty. Acting better than them but when he needs help, he acts all nice. He ripped off Phil and still wanted him to help. He used Mark, Mel's kindness, used Laura, was nasty to Pat. He still didn't learn. Because later he treated Laura so despicably. The nerve to say it's for the kids. He never cared about other people's kids at all. He didn't care about other people. He's vile. Even if Phil helped there was nothing to say he'd have kept his word. He was a horrible man
These episodes are brilliant
lepreconlon Eastenders is soooo unrealistic but this very very accurately portrayed what bankruptcy is like. You literally can stand to lose a 305,000 house a 9,000 grand car a revenue business your employees however minimal and lose it ALL over night if at a very specific time you can't raise a few grand of immediately payable collateral. Nurses, teachers, solicitors etc people with government funded jobs don;t understand what covid did to businesses that were fledgling businneses privately run that didn't have protection. This was realistic
They never make them like this no more
Good old days when eastenders was quality and worth watching.
Nick Cotton is hilarious
Thank you
Back when the show was fucking great ...watching the Sunday omnibus hungover waiting for your sunday roast ..good times
Had it not been for the fact Ian had ripped him off with The Cafe takings Phil may have helped him. Sorry but Ian deserved this for all the years of ripping people off.
@@TheRaveMusicArchive not really in the late 90s the market was on its knees and ians prices were killing it and he said its business he wanted to wipe the market out and didn't give a toss about the peoples lively hods or kids then
@@TheRaveMusicArchive it kinda is. If one doesn't give a toss about the lively hoods of other people's kids, why should the other people give a toss about the lively hood of your kids?
Ian lost the right to use his children as a reason for people to help him ages ago. Besides, they would have had Pauline and Mark if crap really hit the fan.
@@wakeup2theNWO your totally right I remember how he told the staff to put the prices up of food and going against the market stalls and starting up beales market
@@kaleeh9167 Thank you kalee, that's exactly right 👍
Too right ' wht a weasel.
The Nick Cotton part nade me laugh my ass off.
Early 2000's Janine, what a babe.
Ian been running his whole life
Phil did prophesize a couple of years before that Ian would literally grovel at his feet.
What a punch from Charlie I respect him for that
Great show amazing episode
How much running did Adam Woodyatt do during filming? He was sweating more than Lee Evans after a gig. 😂
The problem is Ian burnt so many bridges no one was willing to help him at his lowest point. It's difficult to watch this as a result.
The ending where ian is kneeling to Phil made me cry. !
Couldn't have happened to a nicer fella ' what goes around comes around they say.
Made me cry too, with laughter.
Made me cry with laughter. “No. Because I don’t like you and never have done.” 😂😂😂
These slaters were slappers
Even Big Mo?
@@Scallion_D yes
@@georgemacdonald206 😂
😂🤣😅😀😃😄😁😆 Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! “The Slaters were Slappers”! Best comment of the year! 😁😄
@@sarahhugo8069 thank you Sarah.
Every 90s boy who watched this rubbed one out over Mel at some point.
When you get punched and knocked to the floor on a pile of stall goods, and everyone applauds, you know you’re in a bad place in life.
Let’s be honest mark watched way to many terminator films
More than half of these characters are dead😭
You're going NOWHERE! Mark was tougher than he looked.
Classic episode!😊😊
16:23 me when someone else tries to take the last sausage & egg McMuffin at 11am
Great episode
2:13 😂 I got nothing left lol
Phil was just like a brick wall
"No" "no" "no"
That was a fantastic watch.
The Bealemiester was (literally) brought to his knees, but although down he was far from out, and it was not long before he was back and "calling the shots".
The EastEnders i grew up watching from 1985 to the 90's was the best then it went down hill when most of the original characters over the years and left
Nick Cotton is such a sarcastic prick. Phil hated him more than he hated Ian. Nick certainly got comeuppance nearly fourteen years after but Ian is still alive and has made success for himself long after this incident occurred.
Fave episode
Ian:give me one last chance
Phil:NO 🤣🤣
come on phil what do ya say ............... Nah😂
I felt so sorry for Ian I'd have helped him no matter whot. Godbless 💯💯💯🙏🙏🙏
I say he deserved everything he got. He was a smarmy asshole, and treated everyone like dirt.
You'd never have gotten ur money back. Look what happened to Pauline.
Never help people like Ian Beale, they are weasels through and through,
2:13 not the last time he said that
Ian got what he deserved, as the saying goes ... don't step on people on the way up because your bound to meet them on the way down and phil was right, he always was a jumped up little emperor lol
His day is going from bad to worse.
Do you have the episode when he came back after this? I am not sure of the date. Cheers.
I watch these clips for the comic gold!
So many dead now. Mark, Steven, Lucy, Laura, Jim ( in reality, too) Steve, Barry, Roy, Mel, Dot (in reality too), Jamie, Nick, Ashley, Charlie
Nick looked quite handsome in this scene
The Piano was Neighbours-esque but it WORKED!
i side with phill on this if the banks won,t lend the money and if you owe money all over the place why would anyone lend you the money best bet go though the bankruptcy it will be painful but you need to learn from you mistakes that,s the lesson here
That's harsh
Can you lend me a tenner till Friday? Lol!
@@neil73 lol
Want some omelette very good 😂😂😂
I just luv 11.36. 🤣🤣
John Altman his love for June brown.
Weird music at the end 😂
2:13 I have a feeling that this won’t be the last time he will say this
Love Nick ❤️ 🤣
Nick cotton is funny 😂🤣
Thanks
Poor Ian
Ian: I'm really really sorry.
Charlie: bang don't do it again hahahaha
It is ridiculous, anyone that’s bankrupt knows this is nothing like what would happen, it’s usually a help
Yep. If you're that deep in the red it's a relief.
Kerry Katona didn't do this when she went bankrupt those times.
I bet BBC were on the payment list for TV licence arrears 🤣
Yes but for Ian it meant losing all his sources of income and house.
Ian Beale is the tough guy of the square!
Woodyatt always reminded me of David Bowie
Lol at the end.
His alive and still in EastEnders 20 years later so everything must had been okay in the end.
He's not been in eastenders for ages..
Not in these days
Ian is now back in 2023
I love Phil.....Ha! X
