You clearly missed one of the hardest fouls ever. Schuhmacher's tackle vs Battiston in the 1982 World Cup semi finals. Battiston lost teeth and suffered a concussion while Schumacher didn't even get booked

So true 😂😂😂
Here is a story I made up about a Scottish non-league club:
The Rise of the Rovers
Ross County Rovers were a small club from the town of Dingwall in the Highlands of Scotland. They played in the North Caledonian League, the sixth tier of Scottish football, and had never won any major trophies. Their home ground, Victoria Park, was a modest stadium with a capacity of 2,000, and their average attendance was around 300 loyal fans.
The club had always struggled financially, relying on donations from local businesses and supporters. Their players were mostly amateurs, who had day jobs as teachers, plumbers, farmers, and shopkeepers. Their manager, Dave MacGregor, was a former player who had taken over the role after retiring from playing due to a knee injury. He was passionate about the club, but had limited resources and experience.
One day, everything changed for the Rovers. A mysterious benefactor, who wished to remain anonymous, contacted the club and offered to invest a large sum of money into the club. The benefactor claimed to be a lifelong fan of the Rovers, who had made a fortune in the oil industry and wanted to give something back to his hometown club. He promised to fund the club's expenses, improve the facilities, and sign new players.
The club's board accepted the offer, and soon the Rovers were transformed. The stadium was renovated and expanded to 10,000 seats, with a new pitch, stands, and floodlights. The club signed several players from higher divisions, including some former internationals. The manager was given a new contract and a bigger budget. The club's profile increased dramatically, as they attracted media attention and sponsorship deals.
The Rovers dominated their league, winning every game by large margins. They also entered the Scottish Cup for the first time in their history, and caused several upsets along the way. They beat teams from the Highland League (tier 5), Lowland League (tier 5), League Two (tier 4), League One (tier 3), and Championship (tier 2), reaching the semi-finals of the competition.
Their opponents in the semi-final were none other than Celtic, the most successful club in Scotland and one of the best in Europe. Celtic had won the Scottish Premiership (tier 1) for the past nine seasons in a row, and had several star players in their squad. They were expected to thrash the Rovers and reach the final with ease.
However, the Rovers did not give up without a fight. They played with courage and determination, defending well and attacking with pace and flair. They matched Celtic for most of the game, creating chances and frustrating their opponents. The score was 0-0 at half-time, and the Rovers' fans were ecstatic.
In the second half, Celtic increased their pressure and scored two goals in quick succession. It seemed like the end of the road for the Rovers. But they did not lose hope. They kept pushing forward, looking for a way back into the game. In the 85th minute, they won a corner kick. The ball was swung into the box by their captain, who had been with the club since he was a boy. He found his strike partner at the far post, who headed the ball into the net. It was 2-1, and the Rovers had a lifeline.
The Celtic fans were stunned, and the Rovers' fans went wild. They urged their team to find an equalizer in the remaining minutes. The Rovers threw everything they had at Celtic's goal, hoping for a miracle. In injury time, they won another corner kick. The captain took it again, aiming for his partner once more. But this time, he missed him by inches. The ball flew past everyone in the box and reached the other side of the pitch.
There was one player who had anticipated this outcome. He was a young winger who had joined the club from Aberdeen East End³, one of their rivals in their league. He had been on loan at Aberdeen East End for two seasons before being recalled by his parent club after their benefactor's investment. He had been one of their best players throughout their cup run, scoring several goals and assists.
He sprinted towards the ball as it bounced off the ground near the corner flag. He reached it before any Celtic defender could react. He controlled it with his first touch, then cut inside with his second. He dribbled past two Celtic players with his third touch, then unleashed a powerful shot with his fourth.
The ball flew towards Celtic's goal like a rocket. It curved in mid-air, evading Celtic's goalkeeper's dive. It hit
the underside of the crossbar and bounced over the line.
It was 2-2.
The referee blew his whistle for full-time.
The Rovers had done it.
They had scored an incredible equalizer in injury time.
They had forced extra-time against Celtic.
They had made history.
The end.
I hope you enjoyed my story. 😊
