    In the 80s Yankari was amazing. More than 1000 elephants. I remember seeing 12 lions in 1 day. Every day, you would see elephants, hippo, warthog, Buffalo, duiker, bush buck, water buck, hartebeest, roan antelope, ........ .......

    Yankari game reserve has suffered severe poaching in the past years the is currently international efforts to revive the animals population in the park there are animals but the parks size plays a factor yankari is bigger than the whole of Lagos and the animals typically avoid areas humans patrol since the perceive humans as dangerous

      My thoughts exactly. I visited the reserve when I was still in secondary school and there were lots of animals however I remember the tour guide mentioned how the animals were endangered cos some of the natives were still hunting and killing them.

    Would have loved to visit this place but all these Boko Haram and bandits no go let person visit there with peace of mind.
