P.D.Q. BACH - Evening at Pops (PBS; 1974) [PART ONE]. Professor Peter Schickele guests with Arthur Fiedler & the Boston Pops Orchestra. Announcer: William Pierce.
Sure brought back memories. Great video. Just thinking that five years later Maestro Fiedler would not be with us. Glad Professor Pete stayed around a litlle longer. THANKS
So good to finally see this again. I recall watching this on public television in 1974. No video recording for the masses back then, so I recorded it on my mono cassette tape recorder. Had never heard of Professor Schickele before this broadcast, but went out the next day and found a double vinyl copy of "The Wurst of PDQ Bach". Fantastic! Thanks for uploading. RIP Peter Schickele

My pleasure. Thanks for watching!!
I saw this original broadcast. Unforgettable!
Priceless!
This was 49 years ago. Nearly everyone in this video is dead. Very sobering, we're getting to the point where media has outlived the participants.
