Apparently academy directors have that special something. The first time you bring Iono to the league club she'll ask about something weird in the academy that would be interesting to stream, and you can suggest director Cyrano. She'll dismiss the idea thinking it would be boring, but on the next visit she'll say that he was totally into it and even managed to "steal her thunder"
Makes sense why Clavell and Cyrano get along
They may be old but they're still pretty much able to connect with the new generation.

Same! I was initially feeling iffy about this cast, but just seeing them all bounce off of each other and highlighting their characters might make this the best batch of characters yet!

It's great how far Pokemon has come over the years over developing characters, the DLC really did flesh them out so much more. The interactions are great.
If only it wasn't locked behind a paid DLC...

I honestly love how Brassius and Grusha bond in their past experiences in depression.
It's especially amusing when Grusha is somewhat annoyed that he's so easy to read, yet admits that Brassius understands him so well through one conversation.

@@spectrum-5 Uhh... If Grusha was legit deep in depression, he wouldn't find some ounce of enjoyment and meaning in his role as a Gym Leader.
Also, those who have depression don't tend to blatantly share that they have it. Brassius basically said to Grusha "You have depression" without Grusha having the chance to say anything.

At the same time, he's also that sort of "Ride or die" guy. He may be lazy and often gets into trouble, but he's got your back.
What I got from this: Raifort is a future villain in the making who should not be left unsupervised. And also, maybe make sure Jacq is okay.

We already knew that from the base game and the Ruin Treasures quest. She literally gives you the TM for Nasty Plot as a reward.

I love that Brassius went and checked out Burgh’s gym. That’s why when he asked for a trade, I gave him a Swadloon that I caught in Kitakami. It makes clothes out of leaves which is a work of art and also Burgh’s ace Pokémon. Just imagine Brassius with a Leavenny. It’s just “avant-garde”.
I didn't thought about that...😮 I gave him an alolan execcutor as his long neck reaches the sky than most pokemon and well thinking he loves sunflora & in specific sunflora loves the sun it made sense to me😅

I gave him a Bulbasaur. Mainly because I wanted to see him with one in the rematch (though vileplume also makes sense) but also because he was working on a bulbasaur statue in his concept art.
I gave him a bug type Pokémon too! Nice going.
Looking at Brassius' fondness of Burgh's gym and Brass' own interest in Katy's patisserie, it's kinda funny how a Grass specialist is particularly attracted to Bug instead.
Dude at this point I'm 100% there is a secret meeting for the top tier Dragon Type Masters cause all of the seem to know each other.
It's a Known Fact that most of the Top Dragon-Type Trainers all hail from the Dragon Tamer Tribe that Iris constantly reminisces about in the Anime, being part of a Predominant Family there herself. -She's also Drayton's Aunt, if not Mother...-

Still, the Dragon Tamer Tribe also tend to play a Major Part in several of the Political Events that occur within the Pokémon World - almost to the Level of a Yakuza Family, with the Level of Commitment the Elders demand of their Descendants to their Training: this is what causes Younger Dragon Tamers like Iris and Drayton to Rebel, taking leave of their Families to Follow their Own path to Dragon Mastery...

In BW Iris calls Drayden grampa but says they’re not blood related, so the more likely thing is that Iris and Drayton have a more cousin like relationship or sibling relationship considering Drayden is his biological grandfather and her adopted one

I haven't checked if what everyone else is saying is True or Not, but you've likely done more Research into the matter than "It's what I remember", so I'll Trust you more than My Memories atm...

Don't forget that Dragon Trainers are usually in the Elite 4 in almost every League or at least the final gym leader you fight. Kinda hard to not be known by peers in similar occupations.

I haven’t laughed from Pokémon dialogue since I was a little kid. Not because it was bad, just that the funniest jokes could only really make me smile. But for some reason the first character to make me laugh was Larry, the deadpan sarcastic normal type gym leader.

I french she says something like " Un trio de cœurs qui piquent un trieur, un triopikeur qui ..." (I forgot the end and it might not be accurate but those words were in it) and the fact that triopikeur ( dugtrio in french) is a ground type is a nice touch
Drayton is relaxed but extremely cunning. Crispin is passionate, energetic and oblivious. And Lacey is daddy's girl.
And Crispin has a total crush on Lacey. Apparently he’s tried asking her out multiple times but always chickens out, while she’s totally oblivious. That’s adorable.

Okay, but can we talk about how comically shady Raifort is? She became one of my favorite characters just from helping us pinpoint the Ruinous Quartet, but her admitting she's raiding ancient tombs to steal relics and is being hexed for it is hilarious to me.

She's always been pretty sketchy the few times you talk to her, doesn't she even have a Zoroark on her team in the school tournament? I was honestly expecting her to have a role in this DLC given how much she loves 'treasure' and what better treasure than the 'Hidden treasure of Area Zero'? A little disappointed she was just a throwaway NPC for the Ruinous Pokemon side quest

Even Geeta once mentioned the player when she visited BB Academy that she was doing some talking with the Unova League. Perhaps even she would appear in a future game, especially a Unova Remake?
@@nishant9289 I think Larry will show up in Black and White 3, should it actually come out, according to that interaction between him and Geeta. The Unova games has that tournament where past characters can show up.
As for Geeta herself, she may but champions appearing outside of their games is rare outside of tournament areas and usually relegated to cameos. That being said the Pokemon company has been doing stuff since Gen 5 that they wouldn't have done in earlier generations. Gen 10 would be the perfect time to have a character from a prior generation being a major character in the story, if Ingo in Legends Arceus isn't counted due to how different that game is from the others.
The PWT was exactly my First Thought when I saw that Line from Geeta - totally in line with her Character, too.
Though that got me thinking... there were a few General Trainers that showed up in B2W2's PWT - did a Businessman NPC named Larry happen to be among them, as someone One of the SV Devs just HAD to bring back in some way?!

Geeta's _just come under the Impression_ that Larry's Enjoying his Work Trip here to Unova, not realizing *he only Enjoys* the InterRegional Trips because it let's him _spend some Time doing things he Actually Likes at Points,_ *_without Word getting back instantly to his Boss!_*
This is why Geeta hints a 'Certain Region' when she mentions it, rather than *saying the Location outright:* it's her attempt at Tempting him with another visit to the Region, though a Poor One...
If you're Unwilling to accept that explanation, another possible Location (and Game) she could be Referencing _is the Pasio Region,_ and hinting Larry as an Upcoming Character in *Pokémon Masters EX...*

@@FutureLombax bruh wdym, Lacey is Clay’s daughter. It’s been more than confirmed already. The jewel, their names, the Excadrill. Crispin is not related to the brothers, he’s from Virbank City. Amarys is from Castelia City. This is all in-game info.

If you remember B2W2, the triplets abandoned the gym leader titles because they realized that they weren't strong enough and that they depended too much on each other. So it is possible that they also decided to go on their separate ways and each one made their own restaurant, may Chili made a new restaurant in Virbank, got married and had Crispin. But It could also be that they are just distantly related and Crispin is more of a reference to them that the developers thought would be fun

One thing that SV has over the past games is how slice of life-y it is and I love it, it probably has the most wholesome moments/interactions in main game Pokemon in fact I’d love to hear what others favorite slice of life moment from this game was

I liked how in one of Saguaro's classes he mentions that he got a question from a student, and almost gives away that said student is Arven, and you get the chance to ask if it was Arvens name he was about to say. He'll say it wasn't but then slip up towards the end and mention Arven by name anyway😊

It’s interesting to see since romance is seldom looked into in the Pokémon universe
Also Amarys on Kieran (which is kinda weird coz she's his sister's classmate) but she randomly breaks character when you tell her that you and Kieran were paired up in Kitakami. Also she shows the most personal concern second to Carmine for Kieran.

Seems some of the gym leaders aren't too familiar with each other example Grusha and Iono, but cool we see interactions example we learn Saguaro is a customer of Katy, and Jacq is a regular of Kofu.
I gave Mr. Saguaro a Love Sweet Ruby Swirl Alcremie named Sweet Love that has a Destiny Mark in a Love Ball and holding a Destiny Knot, with the moves Attract, Helping Hand, Draining Kiss, and Misty Explosion... just to get my point across.

Also Raifort is genuinely unsettling. I would say she is a future antagonist but i thought the same for geetah, so probably not.

Raifort *does* send you after the Ruinous Four and gives you a Nasty Plot TM for catching them all. She even says that you can hold on to them...*for now*. She's suspicious AF.
Gamefreak is teasing so much when it comes to Unova references. It would be better if Drayton or Snacksworth will give us hints or expanded lore about the original dragon or complete kyurem by namedrop its name.
Or save that for a potential new legends game

so appreciate the video and having most of these conversations in one place!! the writing on these is so good, say what you will about scarlet and violet, but they really put a lot of care into its characters. there is at least one that i know of that wasn't included though, between amarys and lacey. they are absolutely adorable together and i wish that had been here too
