I don’t know what started it, but they took some shots at each other and it’s gotten progressively bigger over time. I find it odd just because I feel like they do a lot of the same stuff: offering people alternatives to expensive rebrands. Subaru has done many videos showing Matco alternatives that are much cheaper and Nick sells a lot stuff that’s rebranded on trucks much cheaper. He also does his own branding and has good prices on most everything.
Messing with Dave was a bit of a fluke for MrSubaru but he retracted his statement and tried to wrong his right. Seems to me JDTCO AND CP are kinda just taking pointless shots when they could just mind their own business.
In the Dave situation, MrSubaru was right about EVERYTHING except the seal part number. The reason the seal part number was difficult to find was that Nissan had not assigned the correct part diagrams to every year of vehicle. Had to look at an earlier year parts catalog to find the seal. Took me a few minutes to cross check which years the transmission came in and find a different year. Dave didn't know to do that? He also covered up what the X meant when he tried to save face. It was a joke sensationalist video and MrSubaru got attacked by Dave's hoards when Dave was being a moron.

People selling "authorized" versions of products have payed to get permission to sell certain branded products (especially car manufactures), which in the end means they can sell you cheap shit for a high cost and have the backing of the said company. Most shops that ARE NOT "authorized" care more about customers, and shops that are authorized care about the money. So the money grubbers will go deep on trying to shame customers and shops into buying their basic products.
