- Amidst nationwide protests in the U.S. over the death of George Floyd and biased policing, a pocket of Seattle has emerged as a police-free zone.
Protesters have occupied an entire city block of the Capitol Hill Neighborhood, including a police station. They started out calling it the 'Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone' or CHAZ.

I just want to remind all that when you create an “autonomous zone,” you don’t get to demand a long list of supplies from the orderly capitalist society that you are rebelling against. Kind of defeats the meaning of “autonomous.”

I don't mean to be cruel, but the guy with the spiky hair and the plastic lid as a shield is probably not going to delay the national guard all that much when they come. I tried to argue with a BLM/Antifa sympathizer earlier today, and wondered if he actually even understood that what they are doing in Seattle is treason now. I don't think he did. Had this happened under either Clinton, Bush 43 or Obama they would all be in cells or dead a long time ago. They had multiple shootings in there. The police wanted to help the victims, but weren't allowed to. The medics didn't enter the zone because it wasn't safe for them, because no police was on scene. So they waited outside, ready to enter if it was peaceful again, which didn't happen so the gunshot victim died on scene.
