Gaspard Wuta Mayi, commonly known as Wuta Mayi, is a Congolese rumba and soukous vocalist and composer from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). From 1974 to 1982, he was a member of the band TPOK Jazz, led by Franco (François Luambo Makiadi), which dominated the Congolese music scene from the 1960s through the 1980s.[1] Since leaving TPOK Jazz he has recorded and performed as a solo artist, in addition to being one of the four members of the "supergroup" Les Quatre Etoiles (The Four Stars), and subsequently a member of Kékélé.

I'm Kenyan but I love this musician composition. Secondly, the lyrics are compared to none. Thirdly, the rhythmic flow is pleasure soothing tiredness.
I just can’t get enough of this! Wuta Mayi is practically the last man standing among the TPOK jazz. Does anyone agree with this?
The best of the best. But he was soo underrated
I think Their best vocalist besides Josky.Josky kinda found his own style in the 80’s and 90’s.
Nice Mix DJ.You’ve earned a new subscriber.
This man, Wuta Mayi, very relaxing and enjoyable listening to his music wow!
Great music from Wuta Mayi. TP OK. Jazz of Franco Luambo was exceptional. Listening in 2024. Happy Sunday to all.
Le grande Patrone Wuta Mayi… these songs take me way back in life… nostalgia!! just imagine a good road trip with such music… Life is good! Listening from Canada… thinking of my beautiful Kenya 🇰🇪
Wuta Mayi is/ was an indisputable heavy weight in rumbah circles. You shall live on in your music which is still 'shaking' the world. Afi jazz, you were one of the greatest bands to emerge from Congo. With lots of love, from Lusaka, Zambia.
Wow!
What a compilation!
Keep it up!
Wuta Mayi (Jean Bosco Mayandi as a firy youth) as your fan since my school days in mid 1970s your gifted resilient singing has permanently endeared my music zest to you at the forefront among the greatest African international music icons. You will remain a permanent implant in the future African Industrial Development History of Music. As one of the late Luambo's frontline boys (beside Josky, Ndombe, Tiako, Youlou, Dalienst, etc) music history shall treasure your name.
Dieu seul
sait combien j aime cette chanson que tu as composee.

Happiness drive engine never halts even for a second once you are uploaded to the Mighty Undisputable Wuta Mayi arena. How gratifying! Dr. Ogeto International
For the love of wuta mayi from kenya
Only that I got shocked to learn the demise of Bopol Mansiamina....it was too bad and wish him a peaceful rest....where is Stran Mbenza now? The 4 stars of Les 😅Etoiles were real good and blessed musicians with roots from Tp Ok Jazz.
This is indeed delicious.......kizazi cha kalle Africa.

Wuta Mayi ? Just knowing him for the first time. It's only fair to classify him as a legend also. Greetings from Chingola in Zambia.
You must be new in rumba music 🎶

Beautiful sweet memories of the best of Africa.
Tam sana
Wuta Mayi is a great musician since the periods he composed and sang with the likes of Franco Makiadi, Pepe Kalle, and others such Simaro Lutuba etc. Great music from DRC listening from UK, thanks for the upload
Le grand patrone! Mokili mobimba eza moko! Nostalgic 🔥 Totally awesome compilation of a tpok god!!🙆🙆🙆 tres bien!! Merci!
Thanks
This is a TP Ok Jazz beat. Great working by one of the surviving members Wuta Mayi
One of the best 🔥💯
Indeed he is.
This way TPOK Jazz music will continue to bloom.
Great music. Good selection. But the DJ spoils the taste of the music when he does not let the song get finished before starting a next one. We listeners want every little bit of the song. Allowing the song until last few seconds gives listeners lots of pleasure and yearning to open the link again. DJ you must give a few seconds to separate the songs
Bro you just on another level..the mix is on-point
Thanks alot bro🙏🏿
La voix de POPOLIPO est remarquable dans une de ces chansons
This is awesome.Just enjoying the Lyrics
Wuta Mayi is one of the few remaining TPOK Jazz musicians together with Papa Noel, Mavatiku Michellino, Michel boyibanda( now past 80 years)those who played in late 60s to mid eighties.
Yes.. Living legends
Dj Bennare is a wizard in majestic fusion in the entire composition bringing fond memories in Wuta's musical journey. Warming our hearts with lots of comfort. Dr. Ogeto International
Thanks bro. More mixtape on the way🙏🏿
Wuta knows when and where to strike . He has come along way. Pleasantly felt in our life. Praying for his long life. May he disperse his energies to Humanity while it lasts. Dr. Ogeto International
One of the best underrated artists
Indeed!!
I have never escaped the wrath of Sweetness derived from Wuta's musical journey depriving the non- Rhumba populace the necessary enjoyment. The bandwagon is still on, awaiting your loading. Live once as though tomorrow was yesterday! Dr. Ogeto International

Absolutely sentimental. Makes all those of now in the sixties feel like we used to feel in the 80s. Absolutely young. I wonder how old this Kenyan DJ is. Difficult for somebody born in 1980s or 90s combine this compilation.
Some of those born in the 80s used to listen to these songs from their fathers and they became addicted to the Odemba music of TP OK Jazz.
you are quite wrong.the young DJs have discovered the treasure in these old rhumba tunes and thy do great mixes backed by new technology in terms of software and hardware
Thanks for your support.. Most of the time I do a lot of research and I grew up listening to Rhumba music because it was my dad's favorite music
Mbawu c lutumba
Mbawu nako récuperer yo ou Bolingo Nakomi ko régretter de Simarro Massiya
Wuta Mayi himuselefu. Long live TP OK Jazz. Long live King Franco.
This is a great job
Both for the dj and Blaise Gaspard Wuta Mayi.
Wuta blends the songs they did in 1980 to the current generation while maintaining the touch of gold that existed then. I have loved this mix. Thumbs up. Muziki santimaaaa
More mixes on your way🙏🏿💪🏿💯
Thanks DJ enjoying the compilation in the afternoon driving from Kasumbalesa to Kolwezi from Zim
Very nice combination ❤❤! I love it...
Thank you very much for sharing this video. Wuta Mayi is a brilliant artist, musician, composer, poet, mentor, up there with the best of them such as Simaro, Franco etc... He's very talented and has contributed a lot to African music. I feel that he deserves recognition.

My first time to hear this legend!!..2023
You must be very young
I still wonder why Franco never played in all of Wuta's composition during his stay at O. K jazz.
He played in some, e.g in Basala La vie
What is the name of the last song after vita imana?❤

You have earned yourself a member. good job on this particular mix. Just wondering. where i can get these classics. ( unaltered)
Thanks alot
Where is the playlist
This is not helpful
I have full Playlist.
Why his face was'nt very famous like the others Ok-Jazz's singers?
He was underrated but he was the best out of the rest
I think he was their lead vocalist and one of Franco’s favorite vocalist in the 70’sand early 80’s.He was also one of Congo best in the 70’s.
Wuta-Mayi etait-il un chanteur ou un intrumental dans l'orchestre Ok-Jazz?
Grand Chanteur

Beautiful sweet memories of the best of Africa.
