Alright everyone ... #Honda is back with the next generation #Civic #Hatchback ! Everything is virtually the same as the current #HondaCivic #Sedan but with a hatch and more cargo room! #Honda really has hit it out of the park with the design, interior, convenience and practicality ! If anything, this gets me excited about the #TypeR . Enjoy the video!

I use to live in Edmonton, not too far from you. Won’t lie, I don’t miss the long winters, just missing those mountains nearby. Great job buddy, keep up the great work
Finally!! Found a canadian version review of this car. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
😎😎😎 appreciate you watching it here. Thank you!
Move to the states. 70% of the review's are from the good neighbors north and some of my favorites. U guys get more and better stuff. Heated wheel and back seats for starters. You probably have polite sales representatives at the dealership too.
I really enjoyed this 22 Civic Hatch review! Pricing is not THAT much less than the 23 Integra and Acura dealers are offering more incentives vs Honda .
So excited to have my sport touring 19 days to go!
Awesome review
Thank you sir, thanks for watching!
The heated steering wheel and heated back seats adds the additional cost in Canada. Not available in the US. I have the 2022 sporting hatch in the same color.
This 2022 civic is amazing, just got one 3 weeks ago.
Congrats! Glad your enjoying your new car. Thanks for watching!
Good review, Honda did a great job on all the civic lineup. To me it’s not all about speed , it’s all about handling and fun factor with a good price perfect!
Thank you! I agree, I like this generation more than the previous and they made great updates inside out. Thanks for watching !
It seems the Si may actually be underrated to downplay it as opposed to the upcoming Acura Integra.
Hondata's preliminary dyno test in stock form says 222 HP. With their initial flash tune, they got 20-40 more HP and will be developing the tune and posting as they go.
Don't know about the 'good price' point.. at over $32K before taxes it is not a bargain..it is still a Civic
@@stateniland Maybe lot of the price is the stealership scalping fee and other expenses and add ons they try to milk you of more profit for their pockets.
@@jjacob25101 maybe you better check the MSRP of a Sport Touring.
Thank you
Thanks for watching!
got one for 33.6k OTD, same trim level, brand new ‘23, picking it up next weekend, so excited
Congrats on your purchase!
Thanks for watching!
i love this car.
Definitely a fan favorite in the segment!
Thanks for watching!
This might be the best civic ever.
I say it's one of the best if not THE best! Thanks for watching!
The slant nose and honeycomb grille complements the rear hatch. In the US, only the Sport/Sport Touring have the 6 Speed manual available. I'm pretty sure the seats on the Sport Touring and EX-L Hatchback are real leather, and leatherette outer seat sections and rear center on the Sport Hatchback. Canada spec Civic have more options, even on lower trims than their US counterparts. The US spec Sport Touring Hatchback does not have rear heated seats and heated steering wheel.
They always downgrade the U.S spec Civics/upgrade the Canadian version whichever way you look at it, I feel for you guys down there lmao thanks for watching!
@@ObsessedAutoReviews I live in Honolulu, HI, so I can do without the cold weather options, though other parts of my island gets much colder, and at least 2 places on the neighbor islands snows.
I will probably be getting a Boost Blue Sport or Sport Touring Hatchback, so I am fine with what they have but wish the Sport still had the foglights snd leatherette door and center console armrest the previous 10th Generation had. The Bose Stereo and related wireless tech and leather seats are nice, but I heard that the Sport stereo os decent, and I can upgrade the amps, speakers and add a subwoofer later.
I wanted the Si, but it's actually too overkill for me now, since I am older and not an active enthusiasts, and tuner. I have certain things I would add, but not too much.
If I was going to get the Si, I would be profusely perturbed and disenchanted with the fact that the Canada spec Si has practically all the Sport Touring options and features, for an equivalent USD price that is less the the US spec Si without those options.
Still a great car, even the Sport because I actually prefer the more reliable N/A 2.0L engine, albeit 22 less horsepower. Less potential problems with higher mileage in general, though the 1.5L turbo should be relatively trouble free if you maintain it well and don't abuse and thrash it. They're made to be driven, but I think what you get what I mean.
One of the top CZcamsrs with high performance Hondas, Nick Ososick just got a black Si, one of the first, and posted 2 videos before the driving impression embargo is lifted tomorrow. That Si can go, and sounds so nice at WOT... but even a Sport with a muffler delete sounds nice, like an aftermarket exhaust, but not excessively loud.
@@jjacob25101 oh damn Hawaii eh that's nice man, I can't wait to get my hands on the si, I agree that n/a engine's are typically more reliable
Maybe because manual is less popular in U.S. than in Canada.
@@ObsessedAutoReviews Is it true that some of the safety features are excluded in the 6-speed manual version?
What do you think is the easiest colour to maintain SGP, White or Meteor Grey? Great review btw!
I'm a little biased towards grey cause it's one of my favorites haha but white would get dirty/dusty often depending on where you live.
Thanks for watching!
@@ObsessedAutoReviews I agree with you!
Just my opinion. It seams white actually hides the dirt best. But I'm going to ask my phone, it knows everything.
You said it's quieter on the inside at highway speeds than your Accord - what model year Accord would that be out of interest? A quiet interior is a high priority for me
I have a 2009 accord! My first video is about it. Also a great choice is you don't want to spend a lot of money for a civic hatchback, just some drawbacks of course but solid as a rock!
Thanks for watching!
That Canadian pricing is crazy! $35k is a lot of money for a Civic considering that you could get into a Hybrid RAV4 with AWD for 33k.
Stuffs getting pricey 😪 thanks for watching!
In Europe cost's the previous model 33k Euro (40.000usd)
Just curious....what was that plug do-hickey protruding from the front grill? An engine heater plug?
That's the block heater yup, in Canada almost every new car gets one installed at the dealer before delivery. Honda just doesn't have a nice way of integrating the outlet to their bumpers like some other manufacturers. Thanks for watching!
What’s that for?
@@digitors A block heater warms the engine coolant, which warms the engine block and the oil. People here in Canada plug in their cars in the winter when it gets super cold. Not 100% necessary but helpful
I see! And I thought NY is cold 🥶. Btw SI was my first choice - but US model has missing features. I’m considering the Touring.
I might trade in my 22 VW GTI for 23 Civic Hatch Sport touring due to larger cargo space. My hockey goalie equipment barely fits at the back. And soon probably cameras as well since I'm starting college majoring in film and video production.
Both great vehicles! I'm of course biased towards the civic hahah in a perfect world I'm sure you'd look at the type r or the new upcoming integra type s?
Thanks for watching!
Is it true that some of the safety features are excluded in the 6-speed manual version?
My guess is as good as yours on that one, if I had to assume maybe things like adaptive cruise control possibly cause of speed variations ? Thanks for watching tho!
@@ObsessedAutoReviews ok....thanks for the input.
@@timothylee2772 Yes, sone features are not available by nature of the drivetrain and other drivetrain or configuration differences, like no remote start on manual transmission cars.
Can confirm the hatch is awesome mine does not have a heated steering wheel but that’s okay I won’t need it in Florida 😏😏
Yeah dude it's gonna be -30 with a pile of snow on the ground for us soon 🥴 thanks for watching !
Same st Pete is always hot fl is the best 🌴
How does it drive in the snow? Do you use snow tires?
Amigo una pregunta, le quitaron la cámara lateral?
Hmmmm creo que lo tienen hermano 😶
howd yours have a heated steering wheel, I have the same trim and model :O
Are you in the states ?
@@ObsessedAutoReviews yeah I am, I just found out in your video youre in canda which is why you have that xP
I wish we had the heated steering wheel in the US
Sorry for your loss brother 😩😩😩😩 thanks for watching though!
I love Hondas but apparently they don't believe it gets cold enough down south in Michigan and similar places. Does the Canadian government require heated steering wheel and seats. I thought I heard that.
Trading in my leased 2019 Honda Insight for this car. This Toronto area dealer is giving me $6000 dollars towards my new finance. Which colour should I go with?? I honestly can’t choose. Thinking Boost Blue right now
I was actually very curious about the insight, don't see them often but seem like a solid car and great on gas. Congrats on your new pick! Personally, I think the boost blue looks best, with that new smokey mauve pearl looking like a nice second choice, never seen it in person tho. Thanks for watching!
I drove a boost blue Sport. Color and wheels was all I liked in the Sport, no bose sound, sunroof etc
@@digitors zit has the same size wheels/tires, suspension, brakes, steering. I more reliable engine with more longevity. All the good basic things without all the bells and whistles and power features, and could break down, for several thousand dollars less. Remember you get what you pay for. The Sport Touring Hatchback is the premium luxury version of the Sport.
Honda has really nice paint colors for the 2022 Civic. Some are base colors, and others are optional colors for about $400 more.
If you want the eye catchi g color for the hatchback, go with Boost Blue Pearl, which I plan to get. Sonic Grey Pearl is my second choice. If black or white is your thing they are both oearl paint finishes, just like Boost Blue Pearl and Sonic Grey Metallic.
The Blaze Orange Pearl looks hot on the Si, but they are all over, especially forvthosecused in the press release. For the Si, or Sport Sedan, I would get Aegean Blue Metallic, which looks like a pearl paint finish, or Sonic Grey Pearl.
For the Touring Sedan, the Morning Mist Metallic is really nice.
What did u get? I was going to get dark gray/ grey. Depending what side your on. Saw the white touring and that was that.
Could you live with this car being 6’1”?
Definitely. Thanks for watching!
I’m 6’4” and love it!
6 even. extremely comfortable.
So your saying the interior is not real leather as I was told it was ? 🤔
I believe the steering wheel and shift knob is real but I'm not too sure on the seats. I know they've been using synthetic leather but maybe they changed it for this generation? I'm not too sure.
Thanks for watching!
Canada gets imitation leather. The US gets genuine cow hide.
Another Civic Car
Only 9" display actually
Corrrrrect! Thanks for watching
My steering gets toasty, same car, manual
Maybe it was just mine, I do be running on cold majority of the time 😪 thanks for watching!
I agree. It is very very nice 2 very"s = 1 extremely. Not sure what to do about the more better. I had always been told it's good, better and best. Maybe even better would work. Nice review. I enjoyed it so much more than the last one I just saw. Girl had a month full of gum flopping around her mouth like a fish out of its bowl. Why?
Hahha glad you enjoyed the video, thank you for watching!
Don't want a manual or a CVT. Would gladly pay the extra for Honda's 10 SPD auto but they won't give you that choice. That's a deal breaker.
Fair enough, I dislike CVT's too 😒
Thanks for watching!
No heated rear seats in NYC 😔
That's tough bro, I bad for the American buyers. Thanks for watching though!
All good! Appreciate the content. You have a new subscriber 👍🏾
