It's not especially fast, quick enough to be fun though. Mostly a good mix of practicality and sportiness. If you want a comfortable 4 door sedan with lots of room and options and still have a good looking ride for under $35k the V6 Charger really is hard to beat. Don't expect to win any races though.
i have a 20 gt v6 pitch black edition. I get compliments on how it looks and how it rides (from when i give people rides). yeah, i didnt buy it for racing, i bought it bc it looks awesome lol. it handles awesomely, rides smoothly, and it's a comfortable ride overall. i may get the exhaust cut just to make it a little louder but eh idk lol
I purchased a brand new 2023 Charger GT PLUS back in September of '23. It's that incredible color "Sinamon Stick". Has the Alcantara/leather covered seats, leather on the door panels and arm rest, heated and cooled seats, etc. The V6 enine is the SMOOTHEST engine of any car I've owned ( bought my first of about 45 cars back in 1973) I had a 2023 Challenger Scat Pack 1320 and it was awesome! But, EVERY time I drove it, I had my foot down harder on the gas pedal,a lot more than I should have. It was just to damn tempting to speed and break the speed limit ( by a lot!). Had to sell it before I got caught by the police, had an accident, or worse. No regrets with the V6. It's no Hemi, but with 300 hp, it's not slow either. Love my GT!
I got one and after a while i found out that i do have an aggressive looking charger but without V8 rumble sound , this sometimes makes you regert that you didn’t get an R\T at least. However pentastar is one of FCA newest engines out in the market it runs fast and great for daily driving basis its , an engine which is well designed and developed to have a decent gas mileage and cheaper maintenance than the old 5.7 Hemi engine, so that sometimes makes you turn a blind eye.
I rented one in the States, awesome space, it fits tons of things on the trunk, like you said there is not a lot of low end power, but when it goes it goes, and love it when you are just crusing on the highway on auto and you need to speed up yo can downshift and the gearbox will pass it from full auto to manual mode as soon as you touch the paddel. Also it made a really decent full economy, we did like 1200 miles and only used a tank and a half, which had me worried since I drive a regular 4cyl 1.5cc car and was scared that I was going to spend all my money on gas.
If you think a GT (3.6Pentastar) will beat a 5.7 and up, you're either smokin somethin, or have some other things done to it and not telling. Dont lie to these ppl. All my research has proven chipping it will ruin it, and Cold air intake doesn't add much difference(except maybe sound). I own a GT. Drive it like somebody's chasin me 24/7...Bought it in 2018 cuz I drive an HR plus everyday, but a yrs worth of driving the 3.6 makes me wanna sacrifice and just accept the 10mpg that comes with ME driving a Hemi...Did the muff delete, dropped a KN in( doesn't make it faster at all really, and sounds weird, no REAL mopar growl) and it still gets smoked by things like lex GS450, BMW325(manual), inf G37x etc...its quick- but not FAST. Only thing I wouldn't trade about it is the color(maximum steel)...whenever I see yellow splitters, im hatin, base RTs im jealous, Daytona im jealous, Scat- I start daydreaming, HCAT I start planning on selling my kids. GTs just look good but any real mopar fan or gearhead will immediately see it, look for the yellow splitters,392,HEMI, or cat badge, see nothing and know its bout to lose this race. Your welcome.

he said the car doesn't do burnouts?? my charger GT does some sick ass burnouts, turn off traction control and sport mode engages automatically, as if the charger knows you're going to burn some rubber.

Focuses on the car, the pros and the cons. He does some comparison with related products. I just think it is a solid reveiw, thanks. Looking forward to owning one. There is NOTHING wrong with this car. It's an incredible value for what you get. I guess if you want to drive it in a middle east desert and find faults with it, then your head is not screwed on tight. This is traditional Detroit Pig Iron in the truest contemporary sense. Its supersedes anything from the road hog days and replaces it with, power, elegance, handling, comfort, styling, FUEL ECONOMY, and a HOT F--ING Look that Camaro and Mustang just cannot out run. Police Depts are now back to the old days with Dodge PD Charger Cruisers...and for a good reason. These cars rock. They are inexpensive, fast, fully equipped and just a ball to drive and own.
Wish i could afford it as i love it. The 70's vibe going on in the interiour, the engine, but the best bit is the purple colour, just love it, deffo a 70's colour. Very similar to japanese motorbike colours of the period. Kawasaki's tripple cyllinder two stroke of the day and yamaha's little FS1E fifty in popsicle purple. Great car, great review. :-)
Look at this, this way, a 1970 charger also came with a V8 with 290HP, and the car itself weighs 3500+ A 2015-present V6 charger(we'll use the SXT), my RwD 2017 charger sxt plus has 292hp and just about 3900-4000 lbs Thats not too much of a difference actually, its still quick enough to mess around with

Kia Stinger N-LINE Turbo 4 goes 0-60mph in 5.7seconds. Kia Stinger GT does it in 4.7 seconds... These numbers are before you tune it because turbos give you that option! :) I love the look of these Charges much much better than the Stingers though!+
I got a 2019 Dodge Charger GT it’s badass and faster then a sxt the GT gives you sport mod paddle shifters and upgrade ECU and Rear racial 3.06 and 78mm Throttlebody but cars dyno says puts you out on 311HP and I keeps up with V-8’s right next to them but same 3.6L Engine but with lil add ons make a big Difference
You're lieing to you're self if you think a gt can keep up with the V8. I've raced these things. I personally hate then. But my 392 will effortlessly leave this and all GTs far behind me.
The interior is getting a bit tired. Unpopular opinion: I'd go with the Impala instead of a 3.6l Charger. The ride on that thing is more old school American than this.
Impala ( last gereration) had a lot of mechanical issues, especially electrical ones that would sometimes leave owners stranded. Plus the 3.6 V6 engines were/are crap. Google it if you don't believe me. Also, I'd much rather have RWD.@@MotoringMiddleEast

The R/T with the Hemi can work, but you'll need snow tires - NOT all seasons. Why not go with the loud one?
In your case, the GT AWD would be more practical.
