    Very sorry about loosing the last little bit of fix. Life gets in the ways sometimes. the current limited worked fine, there was a problem with the volts display and was a bad resistor in a voltage divider

    The problem fixing it that way is that you don't know how close you are from the margin and it can suddenly vary/oscillate again.

    Did simply inserting the current op-amp into the circuit fix it? Kinda what I was thinking although it makes no sense to begin with. ;-)

      I hate to be thick, but I did not understand the ending comment. Clue me in, gently, please.

    In my HP/Agilent manual for the E3610a, R46 is listed as 390 ohms, 5%, 3W. So look for a space suitable for that size on the PCB. It's also described as being a "PWI" resistor - not sure what that means. Good luck!

    • @mickblackmore290
      @mickblackmore290 Před 2 lety

      I think PWI stands for, PowerWise Interface

      @@mickblackmore290 You know, I saw that too. But digging further into the parts list, and since some of the power resistors are described as "PWN", it looks more like PWI = Power, Wirewound, Inductive. Vs PWN= Power, Wirewound, Non-inductive. Maybe!

      @@mickblackmore290 Mouser sells wirewound inductive and non-inductive power resistors (special winding technique). I'll go with "Power, Wirewound, Inductive" as HP/Agilent's meaning for PWI in their parts list.

      @mickblackmore290 Před 2 lety +1

      @@craighosty1353 That works to. I always thought wirewounds were always inductive unless specified otherwise. I also think if they are going to use acronyms they need to define them where used. JMO
