What a video, one of the best. Thank you very much!
Awesome! Thank you! 🙏🏼
@@JustinPhillip can you share the link of a top handle which you use with easyrig and heavy setups?
@@cineformat6298 it's in this kit: kit.co/jpOnFilm/aks-camera-accessories
Great work again Justin. This was exactly the video I was looking for. Easyrig definitely the way to go
Good insight, thanks for the comparison and user experience.
Awesome BTS!
Really good composition and lighting! I’ma a sucker for a wider fov tho 🤣
Congratulations Justin!!
🙌🏼🙏🏼
LOl @been the same size since 19. Nice revew my bro. Looking forward to working with you someday. Keep up the good work.
😆 Thanks!
I have the Minimax as well and I also picked up the EasyTilt attachment. It makes a world of difference in your shot selection when using a gimbal ring.
Great to see Tide as a sponsor!!!!
🤣🤣👏🏼🤙🏼
Yoooo, that crew neck is 🔥🔥, been thinking about pulling the trigger on one for a while. This just solidified it. ✌️
the crew neck?
@@JustinPhillip the Dog Times sweatshirt? It’s dope man.
@@anthonyscopino4934 Oh thank you! Yeah the link is in the bottom of the description. It’s made by Design by Humans or whatever its called. There’s black ones too 🦾
I tried the easy rig mini max but still felt a lot of pressure on my lower back, had to send it back. Any pointers?
Thanks for this video! I have a S1H rigged out with V-Mount, Follow Focus and everything, weighs a little over 7kg (15lbs). Could be 8Kg when I attach a Mattebox to it.
Do you think the Minimax will handle it? I'm interested in the Minimax Stabil Light
nice video. Can I alsi use FLOWCINE SERENE with easyrig minimax. Thanks
Yeah... I think I need one of these.
one of the best purchases i ever made!
@@JustinPhillip Thanks buddy, gives me more confidence to throw down cash for something I was only half considering before. (Still somewhat considering going shoulder mount, but... you're like... stuck at that height, whereas with the easyrig, you can switch from high to low pretty easily. Good stuff.)
In my honest opinion, the gimbal is waaaay overused these days. I’m a handheld kinda guy myself. Keep up the great content bro!
Agreed. Almost all my shots are on sticks and when I do need a moving shot I do dollies or handheld and sometimes steadicam.
Hate gimbals, handheld is the way to go alongside of tripods for some shots
Unless it’s a minity
@@BransenPass Would a steadicam work with like a big ol' 13-15 pound rig with a looong zoom lens? And I wonder if somehow an easyrig could be used in conjunction with the a steadicam... hmm... probably not I guess, but maybe?
Just ordered a minimax. I realised it was only a few hundred pounds more than the fly cam. I was fed up with everything I own being some sort of Chinese derivative and fancied a nice bit of gear that should last and not go out of date. I’ve learnt the hard way - buy cheap, buy twice. Also realised hanging my 10k 7kg camera off a bit of string attached to a knock off might not be the wisest move.
Thank you Justin for this helpfull review.
What kind of Ready Rig version is that?
I own the Ready Rig GS and the VEGA version. Looks different with me. Even the short bungee cord looks way too short.
yeah, it was the original Ready Rig lol
@@JustinPhillip You absolutely have to test the Ready RIG VEGA when you get around to it.
What is your experience with walking shots with an easy rig?
i wouldn’t recommend
Which is the one that has the quick release hook ? It's sold out on b and h . Is that the same as the easy rig quick release that's $150
yes thats an add on, and it is a must have
@@JustinPhillip why does b and h say it comes with it for same price 1250 ? Is that the $150 one ?
@@creativegreats6924 all EasyRigs come stock with the normal hook release system, which can be referred to as a Quick Release. But what i'm talking about is this: bhpho.to/36AiTFX
I think you need to put more weight on your easyrig Komodo Rig. It has a bunch of micro jitters. The reason that handheld Alexa footage looks so good is because it's heavy. Love your videos!!
Flycam flowline is not worth it, looking to pick one of these up on the used market soon
I agree based on the video above, but are you speaking from experience? (About the flowline)
@@mrhobs yes, I ordered one from proaim directly and it didn’t work at all
It was used but compared to my minimax, not at all the same qulity
@@damiensantillan6125 Thanks a lot! Every opinion really helps me make my decision. I may try to score an easy rigged used or at a discount, but I think it'll be worth it for me at around $1,000 maybe.
@@mrhobs I got mine for 700 from a retiring camera op
