Damn, you managed to display an ignorance of TWO bands in that short statement. The first error is predicated on numerous misunderstandings regarding Ringo’s role in the band, what he actually did on recordings (including assuming he wrote a song that he didn’t), and his relationship with his bandmates. And then you follow it up with a misinterpretation of the scene in this video which clearly shows that Roger Taylor was nothing like Ringo. Also, Roger Taylor is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist with a solid songwriting catalog. Each one of the members of Queen wrote hits for the band.

One of my most favorite Queen songs. And Roger Taylor was so good, he could have sung lead vocals for his own band. He’s singing the crazy high notes in Bohemian Rhapsody.
@@dragonsdynamite6403 Their music is incredibly diverse. It has something for everyone. You got your hard rockers like “Stone Cold Crazy”. You got your ballads like “White Queen”. What's funny about this in my life is I got into Queen in my teen years, long after their time in the cultural limelight, and so anything but the hits I was discovering on my own. I'm In Love With My Car was the only track on the album I routinely skipped. I just couldn't stand listening to it most of the time.
Idk, I’m in love with my car just fit so well with the rest of the discography, it never bothered me and I looked forward to hearing it when it came on
That has always been my favorite song on the album. Just like "Clyde," drummer for The Commodores with Brick House, he KNEW it was a hit and had to fight for it.
i love in the movie when they start fighting in the kitchen roger throws and egg and picks up the coffee machine and both brian and john yell “not the coffe machine!” and roger just pauses

I'm In Love With My Car was Rogers first song that was truly decent. But he wouldn't write a genuine hit for the band until 1984, long after the rest of the band had written many. I admire his commitment though. Much like Ringo, the weakest of the songwriters, but thats not saying much when you're still part of Queen or the Beatles.
I love that song. Always have since first time hearing it. I believe similar discription and tribute to one’s car in a song has since been created . One that stands out is by Bay Area rapper nickatina “my ride”
I absolutely love it when musicians do something like this. They will do something that seems so eccentric and you thing, "That's crazy, why would they do that?" Then it turns out to be brilliant. Like Prince changing his name, or The Beatles putting a bunch of really short "songs" on the White Album.
It’s an alright song on a fantastic album. When you see the other songs that could have been the B side it does makes you scratch your head a bit. You’re My Best Friend, Sweet Lady, Death on Two Legs, Love of My Life. Honestly, I think Prophet Song would have been the best B - Side, it’s just as theatrical and experimental as Bohemian Rhapsody
the interview with brian and roger talking about the making of this was funny! brian saying "roger was always into fast things, cars etc etc" 😉 a dig at his endless string of women 😂😂 👑✊🇬🇧
I'm nearing 50 and don't remember ever hearing that song. Well played Roger, well played.
I'm 54 and if you don't know that song you want to check out the album "A night at the Opera" if you care enough about Queen. It's epic!
17 and heard it plenty of times, great song
"🎵when the pistons are pumpin'" FFS, Roger...
A good song easily missed amongst a plethora of great songs by the band.
@M. R. I dunno, there's always Brian's Ford commercial. "Everything We Do".
Brian wanted to say ‘clearly… bollocks’ but his education prevented him 🤣
He was definitely struggling with some choice words there lol
Education and class.
What on Earth does education have to do with it?
Sure, because educated people never use colourful language 😄

Ringo's idea was Octopus's Garden

Roger Taylor wrote Radio GaGa (number 1 in at least 9 countries) - Ringo didn't come close to anything like that while in the Beatles.
I'm in love with my car is an awesome song and the vocal that Roger does on it is pure power
There's nothing wrong with enjoying a song just because it's fun--there's a song for every other emotional state, so why not?

Financed as well with a top earner
