Resetting The Tire Pressure Light on a Jeep Wrangler JK

- In this video I explain how to reset the tire pressure indicator light (TPMS) on a Jeep Wrangler.
Step 1. Inflate all 5 tires (including the spare) to the recommended factory psi levels that are posted on the "Tire and Loading Information" sticker inside the driver's side door opening. In this case it is 35 psi for all 5 tires.
Step 2. The vehicle may need to be driven for up to 20 minutes above 15 mph (25 km/h) before the light will turn off.
Step 3. If the light still has not come on then you most likely have a bad tire pressure sensor. At this point I recommend bringing it to any repair shop that has the proper scanner equipment to check and see if all 5 sensors read properly. It is very common for a sensor to go bad or the battery of a sensor to die. Many times technicians will damage the sensors by accident when mounting new tires.
** Driving on under-inflated tires reduced your vehicle's fuel efficiency and tire tread life.

thats two in a half mins of life I'll never get back.
SMH didn’t understand the assignment bro
😂
You didn't show how to reset the sensor! All you did was tell us to make sure the tires are filled up and then take it to a shop if that doesn't work. No help at all...
Serious waste of time. No help at all.
That’s how it everywhere. That’s like the only way
He literally said if the light doesn’t come off you have a faulty pressure sensor.🤦🏼♀️ you can’t just reset it without fixing the problem
This is the third video to waste my time doing this
Resetting is taking control over an automated system, and shutting it down, and usually after some time, turning it back on. Or manually clearing a fault code with software, or a button.
This is an automated system that displays the light or not. There is no resetting. Not in this video, or it’s explanation. Just saying there’s is no reset but having a title saying otherwise.
You did not show how reset the sensor.
Yea WTF?
Least helpful vid on the planet
This video is TITLED resetting the light. It just describes the system.
Exactly
Really informative, I'm most amazed that you actually said "I hope this helps". It was about as helpful as a monkey screwing a football
I've never heard of a monkey performing such a act???
Yes yes yes I replaced all five sensors myself not easy and the light was still on but then I drove it for a couple of miles at 15 to 25 miles an hour and my heavens the thing went out yes👍👍👍
Does the tire need to be mounted (ie, if the spare was the one with low pressure) during the 15-20 minute drive?
I want my mins back...
did you say your name was Vasily? Were you named after the famous Russian pilot Vasily Andrianov??
If anyone with a Wrangler said this shit was helpful, sell your Jeep. Who tf doesn't know how to inflate a fucking tire if the pressure sensor comes on. He isn't resetting shit. I was looking to find out how to fully reset the Tpms since I swapped my old stocked tires/rims for new aftermarket ones.
The main item, where specifically under the steering wheel the reset button is, was not covered.
They never do show a button.
That sucks. THE HEADER SAID HOW TO RESET IT NOT TAKE IT TO THE REPAIR SHOP!!!
Dont label a video as something its not. This does not tell you how to reset a tpms sensor. Its basically a video telling you to take it to a repair shop . 0/10
He didn’t tell me anything I didn’t already know. Tell me how to reset tpms so jeep will start
My tire pressure is fine including spare but dashboard says ‘Check TPM system’ and can not start the engine. Completely immobilized! How to reset?
Same issue. Except my car starts. But mine says Checck tire pressure system
Maybe change the title of the video to, “how to inflate your tires“.
Very helpful. The spare tire was low. Increased to 35 psi + and cleared the alarm. Thanks.
Glad it helped Randy!
Nothing about resetting !!!
😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
that is not a thing
Thank you for this video, I found this very helpful on my Wife's JK Wrangler. Just swapped rims
I’m happy it helped
100 buck a tire to replace the sensor 🤯
Can removing the spare tire, and not reinstalling it, cause the light to come on?
No the tire light on your cluster doesn’t communicate with your spare. So it shouldn’t
Auto Excellence it does.
@@SpirosAutomotive bro stfu you obviously dont know shit.
Ok so how do i reset
Yep, my question, too!
He said you have to drive it for about 10 min and it will reset, if it doesn’t you have to change battery inside the tire or replace sensor.
Yea I replaced all 5. (13 year old wrangler) in my driveway with a scissors jack to break the bead! (CZcams vids helped) and it nearly killed my 63 year old ass,😆 but it’s done now and should last 10 more years! If not I’ll put tape over the tire light😆😆😆
ajaraiskamine jobu
These sensors are so useless. 3 out of four of my vehicles have this issue with the sensors going bad.
I just had my tire changed and the guy hands me my tire sensor and said it was loose and broke off. So of course once one sensor goes bad the entire pressure system no longer functions until the broken sensor is replaced. So now I have to order a new sensor and have some shop charge me an arm and a leg to install a new one. 🙄
This video was very helpful!
Glad it helped
No it wasn’t
Your video tells me nothing about how to reset the indicator. False title, reported
Yes he did. Once you have inflated the tires, you have to drive the vehicle for about 10 minutes, above 20 mph.
@@mattd.2740 what the hell kind of reset procedure is that? You turn on the ignition, press the accelerator down 3 times in 10 seconds and turn the ignition off.
Thank you
Helpful? You said to take it to the garage.
Thank you
Your welcome, I'm happy it was helpful.
@@SpirosAutomotive it wasnt. this is shit.
If sensor is on and you don't know why, take it to a mechanic.
F off!
I don't need CZcams for that, i need CZcams to tell ME how to fix it.
Yhere is no teset button
Really? Waste of time
Didn't help. No one will show the location of the TPMS ''Reset Button'' from under the steering wheel or the location anywhere under the steering wheel side under everything on that side. Confusing titles.
What a waste of time.
Bro what
What a waste of time.......👎🏽
The level of uneducated potatoes posting that this was useless is astounding!
I'm by no means a smart man yet I managed to infer that the JEEP detects and analyses the new tpms by itself and will do all the work, so all you have to do is keep your tires at 35psi
Apparently you have not had this problem!!
Helpful??? How can I get back 2:30mins of my ⏲️
This video told us nothing.
None
It was not helpful, title says" resetting Tpms" maybe you should've shown how to actually reset the damn sensor.🤦♂️
What a waste of time
The video was not good at all we want to know how to reset it ourselves
Waste. Not i formative
Bullshit....
Ummm, this sucked!!!
Zero help at all
Useless
Never get those minutes back. Sell your camera. May God have mercy on your soul!
Complete waste of time
A complete waste of time. You didn't show how to reset anything.
Disliked! Wtf are you smoking?
Useless
