- In this video I go over my journey through blender since I switched over to it from my old 2D animated self. With a help of a whole lot of tutorials and sheer will, I managed to wrap my head around how this neat 3D software works. I had a lot of fun working on this. I'd say it's my best work so far and I hope you all enjoyed my recap.

Hey blank! I hope you're reading this. You don't need to do weight painting for bending arms. Just go to the edit mode and add vertices/edges on the mesh from where you want it to bend. The more vertices/edges, the smoother the bend is gonna be. Takes not more than 2 minutes.
Thank you!
@@the12blank No problem mate
Thanks now I need to figure out what on earth ver dick ES are

You can use this tutorial to learn verdickes
Hi
your animations and storytelling are amazing!
after watching this video 6 times i finaly gave it a try and i just not good at modeling and rigging. and even though u didnt really teach how to use blender this was still inspiring
I just found out your channel and, as a beginner animator and artist, I find this amazing!
You actually made me want to give a chance to learning blender
I've NEVER seen such an effective use of a teaser in ANY medium before this. I had already liked and subscribed, but NOW I need to know what happened lol. KUDOS
I just started using blender, and I binge watching animation videos on this. Have fun with your animation!
This video is dope !!! It’s 2 am and I can’t sleep and I’m hooked on this video .. can’t seem to turn it off and go to bed , if you’re reading this fabulous storytelling ❤
this is so relateable. i havent tried rigging or weight painting yet, but I've been intimidated enough by uv wrapping and topology to really finish a rig and have just been making simple character models
This video is of great quality, you can see the details in the character animation and everything, this is a great job, and I think if you keep it up you will grow your community more and more
Looks really good I really hope your channel blows up
Just found this channel and already can't stop watching. you earned a new subscriber🎉 you are an amazing creator keep it up❤
man for a 412 subs (which i recently subbed) and with this amount of views, this video alone is just amazing, i would love to see more of this type of style in your content!
You deserve soooo many more subscribers for the quality and amount of effort out into these video!!
I just started learning today and coincidentally this video was in my recommendations! This video is so inspiring and motivating and I tried doing the character model tutorial too!!
Love the video! I also subscribed to see your journey and I'm excited to see what's ahead!
Also thank you :]
Aye I appreciate you! Good luck on your blender journey as well! Happy my video could inspire you!
@@the12blankliteral underrated, literally.
youre blowing up dude this is great!!!
You inspired me to pick up blender again... this time I am gonna give my best!!
This video was amazing! you are gonna blow up soon just keep working hard
you deserve a sub
i love how you just started a project and used CZcams and google to fill in the knowledge gap your a true self starter you'll do great things as a creator and entrepreneur
Luved your video :D as someone that is currently trying to learn blender (although it's mostly just the grease pencil part) this was very nice to see~ thank you & keep up the great content! ^^
As a 3d modeler, I relate to some parts of how you started. But either way, you have made a nice model! Good work dude
I was just watching this and then saw that the animating software you were using was free, THANK YOU!!
Heya, thanks for inspiring me to install Blender! I've been trying to teach myself a bunch of different aspects for 2 days, and thanks to your recommendations I have gotten pretty good at it!
i tried learning blender for modeling some stuff i tried and tried but never give up i will watch the vid you recomended and i hope i will be good :)
good job bro, appreciate it good luck for ur bleder journey in the future
😀
Brilliant cover of all details
2:27 I felt the same way with Photoshop until I finally took a course and started from the absolute beginning and not trying to do the "sexy" stuff like blend/masks. start with the fundamental tools and keep learning and iterating. now any program doesn't scare me it might be overwhelming but I don't have the " I Can't " function enabled. so a long winded thanks for this video because I always looked at character modeling as something I can't tackle.
Here's a new subscriber! I enjoy the storytelling approach you use in your video.
How do you think only have 926 subscribers!? Underrated.
your style is so good :D
Love this man, just now learning blender too and this was a great watch, you're definitely going places man, keep it up o/
Hope your Blender journey goes well! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I appreciate you!
Liked and subscribed instantly 😩😩😩😩💪💪💪
You are very underrated, love ur vids!
BROOOOOOOO THIS IS SO GOOD PLEASE KEEP GOING
That's the plan! I'm happy you enjoy the video :)
this is my best video i ever watched
Ah, a legend in the making. Subbed!
Awesome Journey!
Wow 🤩
The quality of this video is amazing
AWESOME CAN'T WAIT FOR OH WAIT MY CAPS LOCK IS ON awesome can't wait for more story and such.
lol. I think we've all had the caps lock thing...
yea man i am doing an animation too and holy moly its killing me , but what I know is when you get to know what you are doing it becomes "less frustrating" cuz you wont go around searching for answers and at the same time will take less time . and lastly congratulations on your character!
Yeah Animation will take a toll on you. It's a whole lot of problem solving at first. But once you get it down you got it! I also appreciate you!
thank you for the advice
Bro retopology after sculpting is the thing that ripped me in pieces
I hope your channel blows up! Definitely subbing to support a fellow blender animator
You're so underrated, the video was awesome!
For a beginner, I think that this is completely awesome
I also used pixxo 3d's tutorial i managed to make a character i even rigged my character!(and also i thought your content was great so i subbed)
It's a great idea to make your character in 3D, I'm inspired by you. Thank you for making this video ❤
I'm happy to hear that. It warms my heart. Make something great with that inspiration! :)
Im also trying to create my own characters and animations on and off for around 2 years but i felt alone but this made me reassured that im not alone!
I recommend to use auto rigging alternatives like mixamo or accurig its super easy!
Awesome ❤
I love using blender and making videos
Your channel is very underrated!
i want learn blender to, just follow up on video and understand it, same like gamedev.
this is one of the most underrated videos I've seen in a long time! it reminds me of irrational mango or pinoprime's animations! I recently started my blender journey (though in game dev, not animations) so I had a lot of fun watching this. I can't wait to see the future stuff you upload! keep up the great work :D
Just like your channel
Oh my gosh this is so relatable
Epic video man!! ❤❤
Thank you! It means a lot!
I feel your pain with weight painting but I learned recently when messing around in blender that you can weight paint by assigning vertex groups to points in edit mode it will be fully weighted but you can just use the blur tool in weight paint mode to smooth it out a bit hope that helps if you ever need to make a model and weight it again.
nice 1am recommendation CZcams gave me XD, nice video
Amazing! We are also slowly learning Blender and we'll be adopting an animated cartoon character for our videos soon!
no one cares
@@TatianaHunter I literally care so silence yourself, nerd
Thanks for that!😄@@TatianaHunter
@@TatianaHunteryou mean you don't care and you're sad that you have no talent and no motivation
I care, Tatiana is just being an asshole, good luck!@@makepublic
Amazing bro
U need more recognition bro
undertated gem
Underrated
you are a hidden masterpiece🌟
Thanks!
Great video dont give up
Heya blank! I got a tip for ya! If you make the outline into a emission modifier it’ll not react to light! Which makes it look more clean IMO although you may not think the same. Btw great video!
I've been learning Blender for a year now, and man, it's been a journey of mixed emotions, lol. Currently, I'm learning character animation, and it's frustrating, but I can definitely master it with alot of practice! It just takes time. Have you used the NLA editor in Blender? Awesome vid too, SUBBED!!
when he said 4 years that hit man so relatable
This channled is growing so fast!!
i have used blender before but just now i decided to make a new rig for my avater!
Learned how to mod for games. Started making my own models. Now I have a job after a year of doing it. It's so much fun.
Deserves more subs (obviously)
Wow, this… THIS MADE ME WANT TO LEARN BLENDER! Thank you Blank!
Have fun! Good luck!
@@the12blankthanks! i really needed it 😅
nice!
Brooo totally relate to hitfilm. Every single time I try to do simple movements/ animations I felt like offing myself 😂😂
Nice video 👍
ah yes thanks for the motivation. now, the pain will start!
You're amazing
i know an alternative way to animate blank's face it is something called an Alpha channel. Alpha channels are like flat planes as a transparent mesh with a texture applied to the front. (it's an option if you want to change the facal look)
Making 3d characters is great
This is the video of all time 🪳
Awesome
What is the significance of 617?
Skipped directly to 3 minutes, got told that you love me. Atleast take me out for dinner first, subscribed.
yay
Ooooh this is great! Could you also share how you incorporate your blender character into your videos too? I've been trying to figure that one out for myself too...
Yes I'll be doing a tutorial series in the future and I'll go over everything that goes into my videos!
Nice vid!
Dude, I was VERY surprised when I saw you have 1k subs. You deserve more subs then this.
Edit: 1.55k
This is a very good video!
Hope this channel gets more subs!

"Something I had full access to, but never gave much time"
This is literally me right now! I've using blender for around 4 years now. That sounds like a lot but if I count the time I've procrastinated, I doubt I've even spend 24 hours if I combine my work time. I've started with a character and I think that was my mistake. I've always gave up midway.
Standard! Deleting cube and placing a cube even i do that
these is amazing but as a person who loves animation i have some tips for you and by some i mean only 1 if you are going for a cartoony cel-shaded look the sets should also be cel-shaded for consistency
YOU CAN EXPORT UV MAPS????? WHAT
Edit: You've got me modeling my pfp lol, love the vid
I have a felling you gonna be famous soon
a solution to skip some of the weight painting is good topology: makes blender's automatic wheights almost perfect
I guess I was the same as you. I would open up Blender and give up 15 minutes later lol and every time i would look up tutorials i would skip over that tutorial that helped you a lot because I thought I could find a better one. I guess I should try the ones I dont like then
nice
Learn blender they said... it'll be "Fun" they said.
Also Insta subbed, Thought some one as pog as you would have 100x those subs man. Keep up the good work
Subed🙌🏿
Wow
I used that same tutorial by Pixxo 3D and somehow had too many vertices that were not meant to be there and wasn't able to fix it, even with Ctrl + Z. I am trying to get back into blender by watching this.
