Having a win percentage of 20% in grand finals the last few years is definitely more than a comms issue. This might be a hot take but if Faze isn't able to fix their grand finals problem at Champs, they'll need to make a 2 man roster change.

It’s a combination of Comms, lack of confidence in GF “playing not to lose instead of playing to win”, and Cellium not doing what Dashy does and be the OBJ player for the squad freeing up the SMGs to roam
Abezy often overlooked compared to Simp, despite playing such a difficult role. The entry SMG who has to create space for his team. While Simp often picks up the MCW and plays as the 2nd man in.
Tbf I defo get what you mean on the cods that Abe is really standout good at, BO4, CW etc but Simp consistently leads FaZe in damage, engagements and kills on this title, it’s not like Abe is playing way faster cos Simp is taking so many engagements
@@samn90834you just reinforced what the original comment said if you use some logic and actually play any comp cod lol. It’s easy to have more damage and engagements with an ar in this title with the current map set. All the maps outside of rio and 6 star are long range maps that heavily, and I mean heavily favor ar’s. Seeing as abezy is the primary smg and actually has a sub out 90% of the time unlike simp, his kd is going to be lower. To be impactful with a sub in this title at the level they play at, you have to get to certain spots, and that takes time which means less engagements because you can’t just beam cross map like you can with an mcw. Simp has out an mcw all the time, as a faze fan he’s damn near just a second flex instead of a sub, he has out an ar damn near as much as the actual ar’s. Simps obviously gross, but one thing none of the fans talk abt is how roles impact what your kd will most likely be. Simps role is to mostly just get kills, so he can play his life more therefore impacting his kd positively. Abezy is the entry and anyone who knows anything abt comp cod knows entry’s almost never have high kd’s that’s why having an entry that does avg around a 1-1.1 is huge advantage. All in all, fazes final struggles are on everyone, because as a whole they all get checked out and collapse even simp as much as the cod media loves to dick ride him.

@@samn90834 he’s still good with a sub, I don’t know about more dominant, but just as good yes. My overall point is his role and him being allowed to pull out an mcw all the time is what enables him to be technically a sub player but have crazy consistency and drop 1.4’s and other crazy numbers as much as he has. I’ve always been of the opinion, and this is just me, that abezy is the more talented of the two overall just slightly and that’s why he’s in the hardest role. He and simp are insane talents, but abezy’s gunny is top 2 between him and Dashy, which is why I think they have him as the entry and have him as the primary sub. My opinion will most likely ruffle feathers, but if you look at it from the standpoint of look at what he did as the entry in Cold War with the 47u. He put up crazy numbers because of the fact that the 47u had insane range for a sub and Cold War was a game that did a really good job of showing the skill gap player to player especially gun skill.

Abe also dropped a -33 in major 3 finals and -32 in major 2 finals so sure a bad series isn't a good look especially at champs but lets not act like abe was like that every event or has been like that in every event. Fun fact abe in major 2 finals went -32 with 9000 damage in 7 games..

Abezy is a huge reason reason Simp and the rest of faze can shine. He is the first entry, he is the fastest player on their team always trying to make plays to open up the map by baiting himself. If I was a team owner trying to get the most impactful smg on my team, my top 2 options would be Shotzzy and Abezy. The fact that Abezy had events where he would drop mvp numbers even while being the fast entry player makes him the best player on Faze imo
Anyone with any understanding of competitive cod knows that out of the two terrors, abezy is the most valuable/ impactful one. Simp is gross, but he’s not dropping 1.2+’s as consistently as he does with any other entry. If abezy isn’t as good and consistent in terms of impact that he is, simps numbers would 100% go down and his role would probably be different to a degree. The cod media has marked simp as their golden boy so they hype him up and in turn causal fans think simp is just untouchable and almost never has a bad map which isn’t true. All the currents pro players know how good he is, but he doesn’t get his flowers from the fans at all.

Cellium has the most objective time in Hardpoint for the squad. He has the fewest engagement per 10 in all modes but that’s expected as the main AR. This is the best roster since CW and they need to let something build.

Idk if the data backs this up, but I feel like cellium just hasn’t been as impactful the last couple years. Like he’s still a beast and I imagine his KD is good, but I feel like he is rarely popping huge pieces or making game changing plays
I just made the comment that his style hasn't been impactful. He isn't a shot caller like arcitys and slasher were. Cell can hold a lane but that's basically all he's been good for

If you’d have put attach into that ravens team instead of felo I think they’d have definitely made champs. Felo had a decent season particularly on LAN, but attach to would have been more consistent imo

The ARs on Faze DONT HELP THE SUBS!!!!!! Cellium is in a cheeky spot 90% of the time and Drazah just plays off the Subs. It’s just not a play style that can consistently win in this game.

CellPadie is the issue on Faze. He is a main and stuff, but has a lack of meaningful interactions that would usually be "manipulating spawns" but his pot plant style isnt lending well to this spawn system, they still get flipped out, or splits, or parallels just as much as anyone.
Cell isn’t the issue, and that narrative is getting old. He completely changed his playstyle this year from vg, and mw2. He’s the main obj player now, and is a lot more team centric even going negative in series if it impacts the team positively.

Abezy is very good at executing the “plan” but once they go down his mid round decisions are not good. This is why in my opinion Scump is the best to ever do it… his game knowledge and mid round calls and plays are simply unmatched.
Cod has like a 20-25% luck factor involved in almost every play made on the map. The game has way too many variables to just say a player makes the wrong decision majority of the time, because if little things that happened prior, happened differently, the play they made that didn’t work might have worked.
@@_Graham99_ 100% incorrect.. 1 you must have no idea what “Flow state” is and 2 these players are the best in the world not just cause there aim but the way they position themselves on the map and a keen understanding of exactly what’s happening on the map. I played back in the day and had over 80 trophies on MLG and game battles with over 30 golds.

Last year Abe was a first blood king in search, and in my opinion was playing better than simp most of the year. I haven’t seen that a lot from abezy this year. At least not in search, and while faze is great at search, I haven’t seen last years abezy this year.

Just saying that matches I did watch it seemed like abezy wasn’t the same as last year. Not saying he’s not top tier still, or maybe they just don’t put the camera on him right off the start of each round like last year. Just doesn’t feel like (in my opinion) the mvp type year he was having last year.
I would not split the faze trio, but if I did then cellium has to go. Cellium can get kills, but they are not always impactful kills. Do not under any circumstamces split Simp amd Abezy. But probably not gonna happen because Faze are gonna win Champs against Ultra.
