- B-Rabbit (Eminem) just choked during a rap battle, and desperately needs a chance to prove he can actually rap. At a party, his friend Future (Mekhi Phifer) invites him into a freestyle circle, where he does just that. That moment ends quite abruptly however, when the Leaders of the Free World show up, and trouble ensues. #8Mile #Eminem

Feeding his dreams in Detroit's vibrant music scene, Jimmy wages an extraordinary personal struggle to find his own voice - and earn a place in a world where rhymes rule, legends are born and every moment… is another chance. This guy who played B-Rabbit is not bad, he should consider a career in rap
Hit comment right here, son 🔥
The guy who played B-Rabbit is eminem
@@belugaitachi4086 bro he was telling that sarcastically, try to get a joke
yeah man i feel like he'd do really well as a proper MC, he should get signed by dre or somethin
@@MuffinTM he’s kind of like a rap god in this movie. would’ve been cool to see what he could actually have accomplished if he had pursued rap.
Tells him to speed it up... continues without changing
He actually did speed it up, hear closely. Count the beats
Bruh fr I was like he didn't even change the speed but then like 3 or 4 seconds later you can hear he sped it up a bit
when non musicians try to act like musicians
wrong, he sped it up by less than a half percent
@@nikosucksatskating You know that thats proof, right? And he actually sped up, but you'd think a GREAT MUSICIAN LIKE YOU would notice
There's still a lot of hype around this scene (movie) even after 18 years!
Eminem proves he's timeless.

2:15 he actually said this in a rap battle he did in 1996.
makes sense, the writers intentionally didn't write any of Enimem's raps, knowing that he would freelance anything better than what they could think of.
Brian Silva shit it was a real freestyle on the spot?
Twin Cities not completely ab-lib. They told Enimem the major beats they wanted him to cross (like the ending raps) but how he got there was up to him.
It was 1997
@@goldsoul1004 it was prewritten, but by em himself
This movie I am so glad was a big hit and not a flop. It has a big director and a big actress, Eminem was excellent, it did more than 200 million dollars at the box office and won an Oscar for best song. Also the presence of two early good roles by Anthony Mackie & Michael Shannon. I am so happy about this success
What’s this movie name?
@@bigup8932 it's 8 mile
@@pomegranatelover0322 thanks man but i saw it I appreciate it man
Looking back it's a miracle this movie was ever made. Would it happen today? Goes to show how big Eminem was at the time. He's popular now but 2002 there was nothing else like him.
there still is nothing like him, he just let others take the spotlight
He was out rapping before 2000s he was out in 1995 but he was known for battle rapping
Times have changed
Straight outa compton.?
There is diffent kind of rappers.
2pac an amazing storyteller, ems a lyticist..
But to say there was nothing before him?
2pac,biggie andre, dr dre, ice. Cube, nas, snoop, Jay z, lil Wayne same time, Busta rhymes, tech n9ne, T,I, rakim...
But the New rappers is s#it.
But 3 pacs album, 50 cents debut.
And kendrick lamar Thats younger..
But eminem was the best selling artist under 2000-2020., royce 5'9, big sean,.
Not just rap, artist eminem most of all artist.
Thats crazy. Best lyticist But its taste
@@therappats946 Tupac was an amazing wordsmith. Personally, I think he's on par with Em. Em does tend to go for more overly technical cadences/syllables with unconventional rhymes that reference back and forth within the song producing more meaning. Which is amazing and he's the best at that, hands down. But Tupac had a way to give that same kind of amazed feeling Eminem gives, but without all the overly technical stuff. Just the words themselves is enough. I think you'd really have to go song by song because they both are so versatile.
Imagine if this came out nowadays. There'd be riots in the streets.
Nope. People chose to become slaves willingly.

People when they didn't have internet.
Facts
A beautiful time
The film was set in 95 internet came out 92
@@QueeferSutherland1 still it was like the didnt have it
@@QueeferSutherland1 Trust me I was 25 back then and almost no one had internet at home. Mostly businesses had it. My mother was a programmer and had it. First time I ever got online was in 95. Things really didn't get going till about 97/98. Even then no one was on their phone or running around with their face planted into a device. We still lived life face to face in groups. Life was better back in those days and I miss it like I know many others do. The way social media is molding the way people interact now is depressing.
the fact that this freestyle wasn’t written and Eminem actually spoke from the top is amazing
@lukeyy yeah the real freestyles is when eminem actually does do a freestyle, (like kick off)
this was a movie, however the behind the scenes/director's extra clips is where eminem actually freestyled
@lukeyy I know which freestyle you’re talking about. Em has one just like it on CZcams… just search it up
No he wrote Both then and hes own offcourse. Its a movie
But you can Watch behind scenes when hes battle the crowd But impossible to do a scene like that
Eminem CAN go off the dome, but no, this was clearly written.
Same as the multiple other freestyle videos he has on CZcams, most of them are written.
Because a “freestyle” doesn’t necessarily mean off the dome, it means free of style.
@@lukeyy5745LMAOOOO there are countless vids of Eminem spitting off the dome with people giving him words to rap about. You’re simply ignorant
The Sista was killing it !!!

He doesn't need to prove that he can rap,he just need to talk =}
Imagine this right now with zoom meeting rap battles
@Charles Schwabb an he must be thinking he a gangster
that latency would fuck everything up
2:37 man of true words right here
Just realized that Papa Doc keeps pulling out his gun just for the slightest tension is foreshadowing that he isn't really from the hood. He didn't have it as hard as these other people.
He went to Cranbrook that's a private school. He probably was picked on there as well and felt like he didn't belong and felt the same in the hood
Future was a real homie. Always hyped rabbit. All of them were real ones. Never shitted on rabbit for choking.

They wouldn't understand anything, and probably think he's trash.
This guy is a lyrical genius!. A master at his craft..
Em " aye speed it up for me"
*does nothing*
Em. "Ight"
The whole beat changes completely
People who know beats felt the whole mood change. The beat is the soul, every human feels the beat in their soul innately but some feel it more than others.
He did speed it up tho
2:05 that reaction of future was like, " aahh he is back my homie is now gonna show u what is the meaning of brutal rap"
“You a busta without the rhymes” OOOOOWEEEEE 🔥🔥🔥
Love how em just fucking pulls the man’s legs out from under him when he’s standing on the car
That part was hilarious AF! Dude just stood up there and didn't even try to move 🤣🤣
i always laugh a lot when I watch this scene
“We keep a white boy or 2” that’s great
3:31 that was still hella funny

I used to get in trouble for saying this 😭😂

Think if someone was born in 2002 they are now finally old enough to watch this movie
Was born in 02' and I was watching this as a little kid almost every day. Fuck movie ratings.
Goosebumps that they have struggled under points of guns to produce greatest hits.
2:02 to 2:36 HE is the reason why I love hip hop all my life. After 22 years. True story y’all. One love always wins y’all. 🤘🏼✌🏼🎧
A legend has arrived again.💯👌🔥
Immediately pulling out a gun for no good reason shoulda been the first clue Clarence's parents have a real good marriage.
I like how Wink had to save Papa Doc from outing himself as a little bitch by stowing away his gun.
Fr, first sign of conflict and the guys already bringing shit out
Showes papa doc is a pussy and is outing himself that he's not really from the hood. Unlike Rabbit and his crew who probably all knew each other since childhood papa doc probably came afterwards
My list rappers 2020 .........

2 Shady
3 Eminem Genius
