AS diagnosed 2 years ago, pre treatment included plantar fasciitis. Once treatment began, the foot pain reduced, but now 2 years later is back and worse than before. Both of my feet feel weak especially at the front of the feet. I can't push off my toes, feet misaligned. Right knee Valgus and problems with right food placement. Pain under right ankle and outer right calf muscle. I think I have inflammation in my right big toe and metatarsal joint. I've also noticed swelling on top of the right foot and ankles. I have no idea what to do
From your description what I can infer is 1) your AS seems to be active as there swelling 2) You have eithe lax (elastic) joints or deformities. For the active AS you need to speak to your rheumatologist about stepping up the medicines. For the lax joints/ deformities you will require insole/ special footwear. I hope this gives you the basic minimum direction to think & talk to your rheumatologist.
Hi, My age is 37, male. I get pain in left foot only at back of the heel. The pain generally start early in the morning after waking up & when I start walking. And pain also occur when I start walking after period of inactivity. Pain generally last for few minutes and after walking there is no pain. What is the reason for this and what is the treatment. Optimising DMARDs does help. If appropriate local steroid injection is given. If both don’t work biologics can help. Do discuss with your rheumatologist

Speak to the rheumatologist so the medicines/ doses can be optimized. You can wear an ankle binder to support the ankle. This should take are of the problem.

Wait for some time. You have been on treatment for 2 months now. Do talk to your rheumatologist about exercises/ physiotherapy as well.
