- Looking back at my FFXVI gameplay, a lot of the collab scenes were straight out lifted from FFXVI. Pretty cool tbh since they were able to do it despite the graphics and engine of XIV being completely different from XVI.

FF14: RTX OFF
FF16: RTX ON
It's a great attention to detail that even in 14, the camera zooms in and jitters for the cinematic clash that only Clive can see
Nice! I was thinking for the final part you'd do a screen effect then have them side by side (or one on top and the other below it, pausing the FFXIV one when the FFXVI one did the moments of square button mash clashing), but still cool to see them next to each other.
Iâm upset they didnât just use the FF16 Voice for FF14
They never voice the crossover quests, not even Clive being YoshiP's specialest little boy gets him over the mighty wall of Precedence.
It would take more time to implement them most likely. Even though modders do it fairly easy. And then they'd have to pay the VA. As far has Japanese law goes when it comes to voice acting, the voice and character belongs to the actor. Unless a VA dies, it is not easy to get another actor... I am not even sure it is legal in Japan.
Aside from what's been said, don't forget that FFXIV is made in 4 languages while FFXVI is only in English, to have Clive's VA they'd need to hire 3 other VAs as well for the other languages. I'd love for the VA to join in, but I understand if they'd rather place their gil on less temporary and niche characters.
You made a video just like mine :)
