Ko e motu kehe lagi is a lologo mauku (Funeral hymn) usually sung when the coffin enters/exits the fale tapu (church).
We have farewelled our departed with this chorus for generations now, and NYN would like to dedicate this hymn to our beautiful ancestors who have paved the way and carved the vaka for our current generation to sail in, we are beyond grateful and will never forget the voices of the past. Laid my nana to rest today. Because of covid I had to sing on behalf of my cousins who couldn’t attend. Thanks to this vid, I was able to learn the song and sing proudly. Thanks NYN for the resource ❤️🙏🏽
sorry for your loss:( i can imagine my nana passed away to on 9th of march i was playing my game i got a phone call it was my sister and i got the sadest news of my life she passed away when i got there i chould'nt believe my eyes when i got there cant belive my nana passed but shes resting with her son and husband and sorry aging:(
