    Kypreos' unbridled love for Marner is never more obvious than when he's going after Matthews. It's so evident he's trying to put the blame of the Leafs failures on Matthews because he just hates the fact that Marner isnt the same player in the playoffs as he is in the regular season and he gets ripped by the fans and media because of it.
    the Valiquette interview was great. Love that type of talk and analysis.

      Werther you are able to accept it or not its up to you, but the reality is that Mitch Marner is among the elite players of the NHL. To blame Mitch alone for this team's playoff woes, specially on a team that has more holes in it than a sponge is, pure foolishness. Mitch, like Mathews and Nylander need the proper supportive players in order to play to their potential. Getting rid of Mitch will weaken this team and is a monumental mistake, much like the idiots that thought getting rid of Hyman because he wanted 5.5 Mil was a good idea. Think about Matthews, Domi and Bertuzzi on the first line and Mitch, Hyman and McMann on the second line. Stop dumping on your stars (Mathews, Marner and Nylander) and build a team instead of tearing it apart.

    That was a good showing last night. You could see they carried the energy from the third period of the last game. And Marner did many good things out there. He played with less fear and it paid off. Nylander looked super dangerous. Domi killed it at center....Bert looks good also....Woll was elite out there Shame they couldn't glue earlier in the series. Can't see the coming back

    I have no opinion since I'm a Ranger fan....but, an "illness" does not have to mean a cold or your 'stomach hurts'. "Illness" can mean a vast majority of things, some of which can be muscle, or neurological disorders...... I wouldn't be too quick to pass judgement. Then if you do find out he just had a stomach bug, then you roast him! LOL

    We’re told the Leafs spend more money on hockey operations than any team in the league. Yet some how, with their playoff position locked in for weeks, they couldn’t keep their two best players healthy for the start of the playoffs. What are they doing at headquarters? flushing money down the toilet? I guess their vaunted sports science & medical departments used their budget to party like it was 1967

    Matthews got hurt on the drop tackle in game 3 by McAvoy just before the Frederic goal. His skating hasn’t looked the same since.

      That could be it. He also looked like he hurt himself in front of the Bruin net, maybe pulled a groin muscle.

  • @harryposner7584
    @harryposner7584 Před měsícem

    Didn't it look pretty much that he injured his groin or something a couple of games ago? There is no doubt that he is injured (and maybe sick too, hard to say), or he'd be out there, no question.

    My thanks to Kyper who, years ago, made fun of the eight Panther fans. He convinced me to become #9. These are the three gentlemen who admitted that they were "contractually obligated" to talk about the Maple Leafs. As I'm not, I look forward to celebrating the annual Leafs elimination day, whenever it occurs. Go Bruins!

    It (mixing illnesses and injuries) is not distractive to the fan base but it is to Boston Bruins. These damn rat teams, such as Boston, are notorious for targeting injuries and handicap players by any means necessary. There are too many incidents to mention. In the last two-three games: Whatever it takes to keep Marchand from reaching conference finals and/or finals EVER again. Once a dirty rat, always a rat. He needs to be humbled big time.

    Unless the doctor tells you you have a head injury or neck injury that could be fatal you play this important of a game no questions asked and if something happens then so be it you retire and go out on long-term ir and the team gets to use your salary cap money to start over that's the way it should be! I don't even think I'm watching hockey anymore the way these players are pampered I'm halfway thinking about stopping watching hockey altogether! Look@ Paul kariya for crying out loud gets knocked out cold comes back and wins the game in the third period what happened to having some balls!

    If we find out later Matthews had a headache or the flu he's gonna buried with all kinds of questions about his desire and guts to play through injuries, personally I'd play with a broken hand in the playoffs

    Kyper has alot of pregnant pauses. What is up with that? I think Ryan VandenBussche gave him cte. And Wow, doctor Nick is misdiagnosing players here and there. Give it a rest girl. So glad protocols are in place to protect the assets for the present and future. Injuries/sickness in playoffs do not have to be available to these entitled talking heads that want answers.
