Rap line:
They actually have had more girls that can rap. Almost all of them in fact. In essence they could do Stray Kids raps though without a Felix's deep voice. The only girl that has never rapped in a song is Riku. Every other girl has performed a rap for evaluation. As for the girl you liked first in rapping Mayuka. She is the only member that debuted that wasn't initially picked to get into the Tokyo season 1 pick from the outset. She was a call back after the regional preliminaries ended when he wanted a few more people for the Tokyo training. Then in the Tokyo training she passed on the very last performance after not placing well in her previous 3. Then she was doing middling well until the very end of the Seoul training and most likely wasn't going to make it until she did a Rap on the 2PM song Heartbeat. This was the second to last performance. There was a video done of when each girl really got their spot by putting on a performance that shocked everyone. Nina's was her very first episode when she sang Brand New Day (some say it was when she knocked on the door before she even appeared). And Mayuka's was her last performance before the final in Heartbeat.
Performing a rap does not make you a rapper. Mako for example is only a sub-rapper, same with Rio. Just Mayuka and of course Rima can be called rappers in the group.
Maybe with training Rio can become a more constant rapper in the group, but Mako will focus on the vocal mainly.
@@NerdChannelBrasil Actually Nina did a pretty good 2PM rap and stunned all the girls and Maya was commented on that she rapped very well by JYP. I agree though just doing it doesn't make you a rapper or necessarily a good one.

The only reason I think Rima got a short rap part is that shes also a very good vocalist. As such she got less rap lines.

NiziU- pronounced like Nee-zee-You (ニジユ/니지유) is JYP's first Japanese group, they are the international sister group to groups like TWICE, ITZY, GOT7, and DAY6. The group consists of 9 members: Mako, Rio, Riku, Ayaka, Mayuka, Maya, Rima, Miihi, and Nina. This is the group's pre-debut release!
NiziU was formed by the Japanese survival show "Nizi Project," produced by JYP. The shows premise was to find girls from across the world her were unique, charming, and willing to work hard to achieve their dreams.The only rule was that each contestant had to have some Japanese blood (two or three of the contestant's are mixed Japanese), and subsequently speak Japanese. Once said contestants were found they were then trained by JYP Entertainment, and the show followed their journey. Their were a total of two eliminations during the show. The first being early in the beginning that was to narrow down who stood out amongst the contestants, and the second being the final eliminations that created the debut team.
JYP traveled across Japan and overseas to LA to personally judge each audition, and carefully select who he thought was the best. The show itself was very similar to "SIXTEEN," the Korean survival show that produced the mega group TWICE. JYP also judged the show in a very similar manner, with many fans saying the show was a Japanese version of SIXTEEN.
JYP wanted to branch into the Japanese market after seeing the success TWICE has had, and after experiencing success in China with the company's first Chinese group "Boy Story." Essentially NiziU's concept has not been announced, but it is believed the group will have a similar concept to their senior group TWICE, and will more than likely release songs that are in the same music range as TWICE's Japanese releases. However, with the mention of Wonder Girls, Miss A, and ITZY it may be a secret way of saying the group could branch out and do concepts and songs similar to their older sister groups.
To my knowledge the group is to promote only in Japan, however; three of the members (Mako, Rima, and Miihi) were trainees in Korea and speak Korean, so their is also a possibility that the group may promote in Korea.

Thank you so much for checking NiziU out! Although all the members are Japanese, JYP's goal with NiziU is for it to be a global group that will promote in SK and Japan primarily. This is actually a pre-release from the finale of their survival show Nizi Project, and there are actually 3 more songs on their pre-debut album. Some people are speculating that their debut (scheduled for this fall) will be Korean. What's unique about NiziU is that Nizi Project had a completely open audition process, and because of this, only 4 of the 9 members actually had any training before the show started. (Rima, Mako, and Miihi were Japanese JYP trainees who promised to debut together much like TWICE's J-Line and Maya is a former YG trainee) My bias is Mako, but I love them all so much and this was my first time ever following a survival show predebut and supporting a group as they are formed.

You have to check 2PM's "Heartbeat" Mayuka performed in their survival show. Her rap really rocks.
Dude, if you like Mayuka, go check out the full Heartbeat stage from Nizi Project. That was the first time they had her rap, and she just came outta freakin' nowhere and lit everyone's face on fire with that speed rap. The rest of that performance is super dope, too, it's one of the best in the whole show and really shows off the group's versatility (4/5 of the members in that stage made the final lineup).

You should watch the Season 1 and 2 so you can watch how Mayuka grow. She is really hard working and dedicated 💚
She was put on hold during the audtions and barely made it on Tokyo Camp. She was almost invisible in Season 1 before she got ALL 3 CUBES at once in the group mission and made it last minute. For Season 2, she rapidly improved and proved to everyone that she deserved to debut :')
