I've had my Florip saw for about two years and I love it. I am not one to spend these terrible prices for tools but this was money well spent. I like good quality and this saw has it. I like Rob Cosman but I feel his saws are way over priced ($280). I also have a back saw that was my grandfathers, a Disston and was made in 1880's. I sharpened it a little bit and it cuts great. That's the quality I like in tools.

I know this video is dated now, but what’s the plate thickness of the saw? I can’t find that specific anywhere.

On my saw, the plate thickness is .016" and the tooth line (set) is .025"

Yes, I still own the saw and I still love it! I have cut a lot of dovetails with it with no issues whatsoever.

what do you like better, pull or push saw?

That's such a highly debated topic I could make a whole video about just that question, and maybe I will in the future. But to sum up, I'd say that I started with a pull saw and it was very beginner friendly, but as I got better I wanted to try the push saw and have found that I like it a bit more. In my experience a pull saw is more intuitive and has a cheaper entry point, but the push saw feels very different in the hand with a more pistol like grip and for me cuts a little faster. Both saws do the job well and I believe it's a matter of personal preference.
