I think he was genuinely annoyed that the audience was even clapping. Am I a jerk for hating audience clapping and singing at concerts? Can't people shut up and just enjoy the show by listening and watching? Nevertheless they are such a great band this performance is amazing.
I think its fine as long as its tasteful. Sometimes clapping at the right moments makes the song sound even better. But I agree this crowd was being really stupid at the start.
Oh god, it was a little awkward seeing how crabby he was with the crowd in the beginning. Granted, they've probably played the song 10k times and want some appreciation for their other stuff.
