#Reminisce #Olamide #Ycee - Zábava
Omo is pronounced Or-mor
Olamide is pronounced Olah-medeh
In this context, omo is just like an exclamation word when surprised or shocked by something just like saying wow
Letsssss gooooooo
🙏🙏 thank you very much
@@SteveBussaGS always welcome
It can also mean exhaustion or tired of a particular condition/situation... In the context of this song
Reminisce did the rap. Olamide is a better rapper though like the King of all round music in Nigeria.
Olamide is pronounced Like "Or_lah_me_they".
Take time to check Olamide out. He's just not always using English. Lel
Olamide dosen't even rap anymore plus Reminice is a better rapper.
You would have loved Olamide in his Rah Rah days. Now he's label head and releasing Chilled music.
At the beginning he was violent AF.
Man was rawwwww
Damn I miss the Voice of the street and Eyen mayweather Olamide. He was violent asf
Omo means child, but in context it’s like “bruh 🤦🏾” or “damn”
Nice one steve I love this reaction
Omo : Child (Original meaning) Yoruba Language
Omo : Chick (Slang) Yoruba Language
Omo : State of suprise (Slang) Yoruba Language
The name Olamide is pronounced "Holla-Me-Day"
#GSGANG
'omo' in this context means he's exclaiming. It is like how you'd say the F word or 'damn' if you were recounting a past negative experience.
This explanation captures the main intent with omo as exclamation so many times
When I saw the notification that Steve did a review on Omo by Reminisce ft Olamide; I was like 'Omo!!!x200 😳' cos the song was done in Yoruba. Seeing that Ycee's cover is the reason calm my nerves.
Well, a lot of rappers in 🇳🇬 jumped on the track when it dropped cos it has a cool laid back tune and Reminisce spoke about the tense situation in the country which has left the citizens in the state of 'omo' (awe, shock, disbelief etc) at the time it dropped.
Ycee killed the cover, his pen game was dope and it was enjoyable like the original. The only down part the track had was the length of the song (it was too short 😭)
Yeah this cover format is dope. Keep it coming!
Yeah Ycee is a problem too 😤🥶
#GSgang let's go! 🔥
Yo, good morning Steve... This two, Reminisce and Olamide are like ogs of the game in Nigeria hip hop, expecially Olamide. They have been giving alotta shoutouts in songs you've reacted to, I guess you wouldn't know. The only reason their songs ain't requested is cause of language barrier, they rap mainly in local language... Olamide is a beast, he's worship here. It's a bit sad it will be very difficult for you to dive into his music
If y’all haven’t seen ElDee’s cover y’all should check it out. Yes I said ElDee as in ElDee the motherfucking Don! Shit gave me shivers hearing him on this beat.
Checking it out immediately!
Reminisce is what you call a "local" rapper as most of his raps are in Yorùbá sprinkled with English. Olamide is pronounced Or-La-Me-Day. He was the one one the hook.
Funniest thing was, we were all waiting for a verse 2 done by Olamide 😀
Thanks for always Steve,
Here are a few pointers:
- Olamide further pushed Ycee mainstream when he got featured on Ycee’s biggest hit (Jagaban) in 2016
- Olamide is the most influential Nigerian rapper till date (followed closely by MI Abaga and maybe mode9)
- Reminisce is an amazing lyricist (mentor to Olamide) who started out rapping in English but switched to the Local Yoruba dialect.
Why is Ycee on the beach by himself? That's a pure expression of "Omo!"when your head is full of thoughts, u will just shout Omo! Imagine doing it by the beachside. 🤣🤣
Great reaction as always brother...I love the ycee cover better..thanks for bringing it to my notice
omo has an hydra-headed meaning...
could mean babe, baby, shawty, child, dawg, dude, homie, fam.... etc
Omo is Yoruba language literally translated to 'child' or 'baby' (which is why it's also used to mean 'babe' in reference to ladies). But then, like most languages, context could change the meaning of a word. In this particular context, 'omo' is an exclamation to show surprise or shock especially at something unbelievable.
Old Olamide is still the best rapper to me, forget about the language barrier, he's a G.O.A.T
‘Omo’ is like that English word that doesn’t mean what it means, I mean in literal terms ‘omo’ means child but in mordern usage, it’s like exclaiming or saying ‘wow’ or basically trying to convey emotions!
I'll definitely find Olamide song for you to review. He's just a beast.
Beast of Lamba
I’m here for this… let’s go my guy 👊🏽👊🏽
Letsssss goooooo
Omoh is an exclamation.. it could convey various emotions; from shock to pain to surprise.
And the name is Olamide(pronounced Or-La-Me-Day)
In this context he's shocked at what's happening in the country. Omo X 1000 is basically him being shocked at like a thousand fold or so
Olamide and Reminisce are OG indigenous rappers; they rap a lot in Yoruba which is a language indigenous to western Nigeria. Olamide has an impressive discography in Nigeria; easily top 3 greatest from Nigeria
😂😂 and it's pronounced Or-Morrr... Without the e, emphasis on the morr
Yo Man you’ve gotta reach I wish by ycee boy on fire from onset!!!
Reminisce Omo x 100 ft. Olamide summarizes the problems of Nigeria in just about 2mins
Omo means a lot..
Omo can be a child
Or an exclamation in distress .
Imagine if a person took a flight to another state. Just to remember leaving someone he needed to survive the journey. In such situation you'll say OMO.
Or you just watched two F1 speed racers crash. You'll say OMO.
And I think the OMO here is about how terribly the government has been. So the situation he's found himself in this country. He'll say OMO.
I think you should listen Illbliss' s "leader"... He is one of the most underrated wordsmith in Nigeria... He is someone to impress... He's got those bossy lines, some call him Nigerian.. he's called the Nigerian Rick Ross... And am sure you will be impressed, he is another hemisphere of African rap that you've not seen...
Finally! Someone says it. Illy is TOO underrated.
Keep doing this kind of vibe..
Steve please react to Eldee's cover of Omo X 100...
Eldee is an OG in the Nigerian music industry.. A singer + A dope rapper and lyricist
Omo his like you’re trying to say Bruh 🤦🏽♂️ or Damn 🤦🏽♂️
Please can you react to Ycee- MIDF (money i dey find)
✔️✅✔️✅✔️✅ #GSGang
#GSGang
I see your face in almost every reaction video 😂
@@michaelangelo4349 😂🤣😂 For the love of Music, Steve and GSGang. 🙌
You should check out olamide okay lay infinity. It’s a song you should like. Omo also means child but is used colloquially as damn!! Olamide was on the chorus and reminisce was the rapper.
Olamide and Reminisce are the OG of street rap since 2008, Olamide is amongst the top 5 musicians in nigeria.
If you won't say top 5 in Africa you are offending the world and should be arrested
@@ikemalachi3089 there’s a lot artist in Africa, Olamide is amongst top 10 in Africa but reminisce isn’t.
NASTY C just dropped
Ariana ft NASTY C- Gotta leave
Olamide is popularly called "Baddo". Remember "The Viper"? The "You're not even top 5 from Yoruba land" bar? Critically and street acclaimed lyricist even if he appears to have been drifting off the genre for a while now. His work would have been fun for you to dive into, but language barrier...
U gat to listen to Vector Cover as well Bro
Ycee is fucking underrated
Yoruba is one of those languages with one word & multiple meanings.
Omo can be pronounced in different ways to mean different things. In this case, it's an exclamation.
React On "Letter To Mili" Olamide nah 🔥
Finally
Omo on a surface translation is child, or baby....but as a slang in this context, it means...WTF......
Reminisce and Olamide rap more with Nigeria Native language (Yoruba) and just sprinkle a little English on it.
Olamide on the hook
Ọmọ literally means child
But in some context it could mean, babes (chick)slang though!
Oh, i almost missed this... In this song, ọmọ means, "guy"
We use it so often here in the country but it strictly use among guys when having conversations.
Example: ọmọ (guy), if i saw that babe yesterday, she was so cute 😂
Diamond in the rough, still I'm the one they try to undermine 🇳🇬
React to Vector's version ...mad flows
Please react to kao denero ft CJ west power of the tongue
Please react to Ycee it’s amazing.
Already have fam hit the page
@@SteveBussaGS true. I already watched. I think I wanted to request for BOSSING
You should do a reaction to the remix of crown of clay by vector featuring khaligraph Jones
Omo means child

💨💨💨☄☄☄
@steve go listen to I wish by ycee still
Omo can mean child or bae
Ola mide 😂😂😂😂..Omo-child.. it can also be used to refer to a lady.
Nahh, context matters alot
Reminisce is the one rapping and Olamide is the one singing the chrous
Bless 🙌🙌
Steve, I hope you see this.
Few months back, this channel videos used to have thousands of views....I for one I'm not really a fan of Rap, just a fan of MI and few others and I guess there are others like me. What I am trying to say is that I'm not happy with the low views. Can you please do more of what we desire. Maybe once a week?
By the way, I have been suggesting you react to Olamide- Voice of Street.
I see every comment usually, maybe not replies cause I don't get alerts for them. The decline is views has to do with my inconsistent uploading when I got sick and then hospitalized over. 2-4 week period not because of the content. That being said if I was concerned about views I wouldn't do international music at all id just do Eminem and kpop reactions like the other channels lol
With that out the way id like to think that I do a wide variety of music from a lot of different countries to keep everyone happy 🤷 sorry of you feel left out
@@SteveBussaGS OK. It's cool, you're still the best reactor anyways. I still check and enjoy old videos
Appreciate that greatly. Plus it's not like I'm stopping anytime soon, hopefully you end up getting thr ones you want ya know
The pronouncement of the second name is not right
Correct me please. How do you say it?
@@SteveBussaGS olamide
Can only say it with audio message which I don't think CZcams have
@@adetunjiosisanya3809 genius…..Omo
@@SteveBussaGS Easy - OR-LAH-MI-DAY
I have said it before and I am still saying it now, If you are reacting to rap in Africa and you have not reacted to Olamide, the biggest of all rappers in Africa with the highest discography, then you have not started.
