  • Silent 8mm film of Weston Super Mare in the early 1960s featuring the Winter Gardens, the Grand Pier train and a frustratingly brief, very indistinct glimpse of the Cove Pavilion Theatre in Madeira Cove. This is an improved copy of my original upload under the same title. Other films of Weston-Super-Mare can be viewed via the following links • Weston Super Mare 1961 • Weston Super Mare c1970s

Wonderful video of how it used to be in Weston through my 60 years of life. And now, it's a ghost-town, ruined by Tory-Councils. Weston - super - Mare... The Town that once was :(

@@ELVISPRESLEYFANSSEARCHTHETRUTH - That's brilliant! When I was young, I used to stay at the Grand Central Hotel with my family in the 1950s/1960s - it was 'the' place to stay - I remember the gold-braid encrusted doorman permanently stationed outside the revolving entrance doors! Nice to see the words 'Grand Central Hotel' still visible in the front steps.
