Thank you👏👏👏
Don’t add salt if there’s salt in your butter. It will be too salty.
I made that mistake.
Now I use unsalted butter to make cakes & cookies
Add 1 C pecans... best cookies on the planet!
@@lynnettemccreery3937 Sounds like a nutty idea!
(Kidding aside - I'll bet they're delicious!)
@@monserrat9936 Good tip. Thank you!
(I seem to never remember that. For me, it would be much easier to use less or no added salt when baking with salted butter.)
So this is what Phoebe from Friends’s grandmother is

I’ve been making the original Toll House chocolate chip cookies since I was a young kid and honestly can never bring myself to make any other. Maybe it’s nostalgia idk but they’re my absolute favorites
Me too. I thought about changing the chips, but no. These cookies remind me of my mom.❤
My mom made hers with shortening instead of butter. It made a much much better cookie. I make mine the same way.
Some things I like to do with this recipe: Start with the eggs and softened salted butter (I omit the salt). Whipping it with a hand mixer, then I add 2/3 cups white and brown sugars so the cookies are more cake like and less sweet. Double the vanilla extract, sift the flour and baking soda in and use the tollhouse chocolate chunks instead of chips. Then do heaping tablespoons or balls at 350F for however long your oven needs for giant fluffy cookies. This is a fun recipe to keep classic or experiment with.
One good tip is to refrigerate before baking. much better results, does not spread.
I am going to try refrigerating the batter I have left. The first batch were runny and too brown at 7 minutes. Still taste good though.
Did it work and how long do you refrigerate for
@@scottlandb6579 I just refrigerated for at least 1-2 hours or overnight. Basically until it is fully firm.
@@2talhaaemaansaliha Good tip. Thank you! (This is a must.)
We did try this and the result is amazing! now our customers are craving for more!
This is the recipe I always use and I’m known for my chocolate chip cookies! What I always do is add extra chocolate- normally a chopped up high quality dark chocolate bar. Make bigger balls and freeze them. I bake them from frozen and top with flaky salt. Literally everyone’s favorite recipe!
These are the best chocolate chip cookies ever. Just made a batch last night.
wonderful, thankyou
Yum!
what is the amount of 1 tsp? i dint think there is 1 teaspoon salt at there (considering my own county’s teaspoons)
1 teaspoon is ⅓ of 1 tablespoon - there are 48 teaspoons (16 tablespoons) in 1 cup (8 fl. oz.)
No matter what recipe I follow they always come out like cookie cakes I can ever get cookie cookies iygm
maybe you should cut back on the flour and add a bit more butter or whatever shortening you be use...
@@jodyprivee2774 Maybe the recipe should be followed exactly how it is presented?
Tip: double the amount of vanilla extract to make these cookies SLAP.
Use lard instead of butter, the vanilla with whisky or rum and use only brown sugar for very good. I make them without chocolate chips, sometimes I put pine nuts instead.
this is my best kept secret i’ll never tell
Yes!
I use a 1oz restaurant scoop to make the balls of dough and I net 24-30 cookies max. The recipe claims to make 5 dozen (60 cookies)? How small is your scooper? No way can you get 60 cookies with a 1oz scoop.
It'd be better if you made writing bigger for people who can't see small print
Most IPhone and Android cell phones today have a zoom feature so see can small writing. You can also see better if you watch it on a tablet and zoom. But having the CZcams app on your TV is best!!
I hope that helps.
@@deewynn thanks for the thought but no it didn't. Not sure if it's because I am in a foreign country but mine does not zoom on videos.. I tried.
@@fkcook62 Have your eyes examined for prescription eyewear / readers - or use a magnifying glass.
Another idea would be to have someone write down the recipe for you in large block letters.
Also, you could eliminate ALL of the hassle and have someone make the cookies for you. 🤔
Wait on the back of the bag it says ungreased baking sheet but here u have parchment on the baking sheet
ungreased is no oil or baking spray but parchment is to just make it easier to get them off the pan xx
Using parchment paper is a guarantee that the cookies will not burn.
I searched for the recipe and it took me to friends 😂😂
How many does this recipe make
ADD:
1 tsp. - Ground Cinnamon
¾ cup - Finely Chopped Walnuts
Accidentally used baking powder instead of soda cookies still turned out good
does it taste the same?
@@lowfat_recipes it rises more then spreads but tastes same
At what temperature do you bake the cookies please?
375°
@@pghbarber83thats too high
Thank you for that correction. At that high a temp. the cookies will burn. 350 * is high enough.@@dalalaljazzaf8139
I had not made these in several years. Never realized how sweet the cookies are! Taste wonderful but after a few the sweetness was overpowering! Maybe I am not use to eating so much sugar anymore. Has anyone made this recipe using less sugar?
I've done it with 2/3 cups white sugar and brown sugar and it comes out alright

My cookie dough always comes out so runny and I have no clue why. I follow the recipe exactly.
The same thing happens to me, I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. I think it might be my mixer, I don’t have a standing mixer like they do
try putting it into the fridge for 30 mins before the oven, it helps with the shape
Another thought: you are using eggs that are larger.
Let your dough solidify for 24 hours.
Start off with cold butter or put your butter in the freezer
Yummy 😋 #D
If this is how they format a video (vertical video in a horizontal video?!) then I certainly don't trust them enough to make my chocolate chips. Aldi's are better anyway!
Only making 1/2 the total recipe for one.
Cool now do sugar

Please Don't add Crickets to the Ingredients 😥
It is stuff like this which is why you're burning in hell!!!!
(Only real chads will understand this reference)
It's from the show Friends
I was so excited about the video, and then saw all ingredients in cups. No idea how to measure that, why can't you put things in grams? I had to look for another recipe :(
128grams = 1 Cup
1 cup of all purpose flour weigh 4 ounces, 1 cup of white sugar weigh about 6 ounces, brown sugar 8 oz; 1cup of butter 4ounces.
The metric recipe for nestles tollhouse cookies:
*250g all purpose flour,
*225g butter,
*85g white sugar,
*170g brown sugar (muscovado),
*15ml vanilla extract,
*2 eggs(or 110g),
*340g choc chip;
*5g baking soda ,
*5g salt
1 cup of butter is 8 oz actually, my bad.
A cup measure is using a baking measuring cup of about 220ml.
@@sana-if7rb thank you, I hope it will be helpful for other users here too!
Bro my dad and I made some, tasted like eggs 🤮😂
Too fast! I had to start it over 5 times. Dumb.
If you tap the down arrow, there's a link you can click for the printed recipe.
I hope that helps.
Recipe is also on the bag of chocolate chips ❤
I’ve ruined 2 batches of cookies using the recipe on the back of the package. It calls for 4 cups of flour! Terrible!
By suing the original owner of the name until he no longer can afford it?
Very poor video. Have to keep going back many times just to get ingredient list.
No you don't. Just put the setting on pause and copy the recipe.
