      I know what u mean however Billericay town are like the Chelsea or Man City of non league football they’ve bought it all each player is on 2k a week

      According to the manager, no-one is making more than 1000 a week, most in the 3-400 range.The challenge will be to win in the higher leagues and money and coaching will be needed. Hopefully it will be there. If I win the powerball lottery here in the US for 300 million, I will partner with this guy and pump 25 million or so into the club! :)

    Billericay Fan since 1977, used to walk to the ground in the glory days of 3 FA Vase wins and dominating the league. I went to every game home and away, we had the best travelling fans in the league and best attendance at home as well. This is well deserved. There is something about this club. People, not just in Billericay in the late 70's were convinced that Billericay would get into Division 4. They were headed that way, I left the country and don't know what happened but I am glad that this is happening. If people don't like the fact that teams like Billericay are spending money, getting in decent players etc, just wait a season or two and they will be gone well above the other teams and life will be back to normal. It's happened in the higher leagues since billionaires started buying clubs like Man City and Chelsea. If you can move up, then do so.Look at Bournemouth, Huddersfield etc, they made it and noone was bitching about it in lower leagues. I think it is pure jealousy. If someone bought your club and pumped money and ambition into it, it would be all roses for you! I love it right now, regardless of what happens. Played 24, won 20, drawn 1, lost 3. +62 goal difference! That being said, it is going to take more money and lots of winning to crack League 2 but it can be done. I live in Florida now and am a West ham fan as well. Here, we have a second tier team, The Rowdies and we have Joe Cole, a West Ham and Chelsea legend, 36 but still great!

      It's ruining non-league because some players are on wages as high as 8k a week. There are ways to invest in non-league football without paying players ridiculous wages like Billericay have done over the past year.

    • @MimicFlyer25
      @MimicFlyer25 Před 6 lety +4

      zeacho yes, people basically have an issue because he is pumping money into the club and hiring ex-pros like Jermaine Pennant and Paul Conchesky to play for them and paying them 8K wages or so a week - which other non-league clubs can not afford to do. So yeah, that’s the controversy.
