Genpei Festival - Reenactment of the Dan-no-ura Battle

A reenactment of the battle of Dan-no-ura, a water battle fought in 1185, between the Genji clan and the Heike clan. This is where the name "Genpei" comes from. (combines "gen" and "hei", and the "h" sound becomes a "p"). If you ask me they look pretty harmless lol. You can see people dressed as samurai warriors in the boat that passes close by half-way through the video.

I do wish they used replicasof the real boats even if it would be boring to most people i think it would be amazing to see.
