Wow. This Ted Talk should be in every general Slack channel.
Leaders always want to „facilitate a positive culture“. Looking at it from a perspective of creating an „architecture where positive choices are made“ is very eye opening.
I truly wish my boss would see this.

It’s extremely helpful to be aware of nudging and what it can do for the better of all of us

This talk inspired me to rethink the nudges I give myself in home office. Very useful for anyone who wants to take responsibility for their own wellbeing and productivity!
If you're still reading, I'll share my favorite nudge: On my nightstand, I replaced my phone (not charging it in my bedroom at night, but in the living room) by an ebook reader. I have finally started reading books again! Read 4.5 last year. That's 4.5 more than the year before - Yay!

"Companies are choice architects no matter what, so we might as well just build environments in which people thrive." - a mantra that should be top of every CEO's list. Also maybe something to remember for some of the more critical commenters on here. You can either nudge people into constructive discussion - or just be toxic.

    Working for yourself.
Start your own business, while working for someone else, and gradually do a transition
A lifetime has taught me this simple rule .
Working for others, is only on the job training . Interesting.

    I love this TED Talk!
It is so relevant for organizations today.
As an HR professional this made me think that like to or not, unless we are self employed, majority of us work for employers that are architects of our environment. Instead of working in places where the environment nudges us for overworking, being unhappy and burn out, I love how she mentions several real examples that HR, leaders and L&D professionals can start implementing now, instead of wasting thousands in the new e-learning platform that no one will use!
If we are wondering how AI will influence HR, (super hot topic, we like it or not) and how to use it in a way that helps humans (instead of speculating how it will replace us) this is a great “nudge” to go research more because helping people to align strengths with challenges and help them thrive will also make companies thrive.
For the haters, clearly you have no idea about the topic. And I know I know it is super “hard” to go do a simple research to nourish your brain with the topic and comment useful things. Clearly it is simpler to use your few neurons to make you believe your negativity is needed and that your entitlement gives you the right to ignorantly add comments because you are bored with your life.

I am sick and tired of TedTalks and talks in general regarding "positivity in the workplace" or any type of "improvement" that gets the people working more and harder... how about you start by increasing wages to an actual liveable amount, then we can talk about workplace improvements and "nudges" in the right direction.

6:20 you are assuming people are good and willing for well being of the community.
Reality is that 50% people is just wiling to be selfish and dont care comunity, and most of it even is willing bad things, stealing and destroying society.
Developing what you suggest also put strong weapon in hands of people who want to harm you.

Shouldn’t it have been the developer of the theory who does the Ted talk?
And shouldn’t there be a limit on the amount of times the same word gets used in a speech? The word nudge has no meaning for me anymore
