I am a server in a restaurant, and deal with lots of heat, steam and sweat in the kitchen etc. I absolutely love this foundation!! Its waterproof (in my opinion) my foundation doesn't drip down my face and leave streaks!! Great coverage, i am 53. Fair complexion. I do moisturize my face with a non-oily moisturizer first.

I absolutely love Phoera! I'm 52 and been using it for over 2yrs. It gives me full coverage, I wear makeup to work 5 days a week and it last all day! I use a sponge or brush and a bottle will last me 2-3 months!

@@CatsEyeBeauty I use the Phoera All Matte Pore Invisible primer or E.L.F. Powerless Face Primer. I set my foundation with L'Oreal Infallible 24hr Fresh Wear.
Hi Cat, catching up on your latest foundation tests. You have an awesome earring collection. I have the tinted veil primer from NYX. I find it nice and I use it when I don’t wear foundation. It’s light but gives a your skin but better. I haven’t used too many bad NYX foundations or primers.

Oh my goodness! How did you burn the skin? This know i did that on the top of my nose with face peel it was totally my fault because I had extracted some black heads & whites heads right before I used the peel
I burned my skin using a dark spot corrector and I was overzealous with the application! Ugh! My skin was literally peeling off and flaking! Lesson learned!
I got something similar to the elf from a Kbeauty brand and they are so nice
I actually like that foundation, it’s good for oily skin and nice finish for me...

I love the total look you put together here. But totally understand the dry feeling, matte foundation. I hate those. :-( I've yet to be able to find the elf all in one stick but after seeing this, I may just skip it. I don't mind a tiny bit of glow in my blush as long as it's just that, glow. Most of them are full on shimmer/glitter. No thanks. :-/ Thanks for being so honest about the products you used today! :) I've got to find that Maybelline lipstick! Maybelline is one of my all time favorite brands for lipstick, lip gloss, etc. Do you happen to have a glowy primer on hand? I have L'Oreal's Glotion and I use it as a primer under my foundations that are more matte. They don't feel as dry and give the finish a nice satin glow. It's a great way to use up those matte foundations you don't reach for all that often. :) Hope you are doing well and staying safe Cat. :-)

I should have known to use a glowy and luminous primer underneath such a heavy foundation, but, I thought the Maybelline Glass Finishing Spray would "dew it up!" The foundation was so flat and it seriously felt like a dry mask,ugh! And yes, the monochromatic all in 1 stick, I may venture out and get a darker, deeper shade, but if it has shimmer, no thank you! When using your sponges, did you said you wet them first?
@Ciera Noriega, yes. I make sure to get them super wet, squeeze all the water out, and take a towel to absorb the remaining water for a damp sponge! ❤

I think the brand of sponges was Hilerico? They feel exactly like my Beauty blender! I've ordered foundation from Amazon a couple of times, but, this was definitely drying on my skin! Thank you so much for watching, Perki! ❤

Great review! I love matte foundations my go to is the YSL all hours full coverage. But with being said I have tried different matte foundations and they go really dry on my skin...so I just stay with the YSL.

That foundation (Phoera) would have to be the worst on the market for settling into fine lines, patchiness and shade range ... i brought it and gave it a couple of wears and I was most disappointed ... I’m like you Cat, I do not recommend it at all. 😫

I agree, it is terrible. It accentuated my wrinkles and large pores, yes it covered redness but I felt like I had a thick sunscreen on, yuk. So pleased Im not the only one.
