My experiences with the LR shutting off while driving is from the throttle body. Cleaning the MAF sensor and throttle body is a regular maintenance requirement.
@@unicornpanda9879 Indeed! Haven't run into the same issue since cleaning those 👍
Nice brotha good use of those miles
Great car
Thanks so much! Yes agreed 100% 👍❤️
My 2008 LR3 SE V8 with 98K miles on it is awesome even with it's sometimes pain in the WALLET gremlins, when I put the truck in sport mode I get great gas mileage maybe you can try but I'm on 18' all season tires maybe your bad gas mileage is due to the bigger off road tires. Any case nice video!
Awesome indeed! Yes I would I assume that's why it's bad, but it's all good. Less worry on the snow with those tires 👍 98k miles that's great!
I love my LR3 as well despite all the gremlins
Absolutely worth it 👍❤️😂
Me 2 got coils outlander set up
Are those the wheels from the Disco 2? How do they fit? Looks really close to the brake calipers. Great review btw
Thanks man! They are disco 2 wheels 👍 they were machined by previous owner so no need for hub centric rings. They probably are but no issues so far, but I do want to find some stock LR3 wheels eventually 😁
@@EnterTheRover I just picked up a set for myself and I noticed that the stock LR3 lug nuts don't quite hold the disco 2 wheels as well as the OEM wheels. Did you have to get disco 2 lug nuts and do you get any vibrations while driving?
@@yahboialan haven't noticed vibrations but yes D2 lugs also
Are you running those tires stock? Like no lift or height adjustment?
Yup! Stock height no lift, but the tires in this video were 275 65 18 which did rub a bit in the rear. It now has 265 65 18 and they do not rub 👍
@@EnterTheRover great! So I shouldn’t have a problem at all running 255/60/19 on my lr3
Correct 👍
Nice rig! What tire size are you using?
Thanks! I believe at this point we are at 265 65 18 with all terrains. However we just recently got all season tires at 275 65 18 and they're great 👍
@@EnterTheRover R18? Couse that rim design only at R17" ?
@@lujbav 18! 👍👍
Very nice vehicle
But is it reliable?
And do you recommended?
Yes I do! Out of all land rovers that my mechanic (certified land Rover tech for 15+ years) works on he says that the 2005-2009 LR3 is by far the most reliable. Of course it helps if it's been somewhat maintained if you're buying used and you don't have to worry about as much if you do the coil suspension conversion 👍
@@EnterTheRoverhow about the LR4? Are those the ones with more issues?
Mainly the reliability of the 5.0 V8 in the LR4 is not as good as the 4.4 V8 in the LR3 from what I've heard/read
It is realiable but expensive to maintain
@@EnterTheRoverfrom all the reviews I have read 4.4 V8 is the most reliable. I have never heard of any problems particular to it.
Your battery cable is lose. That is why it stalled.
