Cyrus actually wore pants for Javed Akhtar
Must appreciate Cyrus, he was the one who pushed Jaavedji into letting out the chapter on Faiz Ahmed Faiz, when Jaaved ji was initially reluctant and finally cowed down to Cyrus’s request. Fact : Cyrus is a pretty quick reader. He found out bits from the book and asked my good questions
Last 2 questions were really good! Shout out to Urjita! Superb answers by Javed sir esp. the ‘Angry Young Man’ being a product of its time part. Very insightful!
Cyrus is still stuck in 90’s and heavily rely on the neighbourhood he lives - still a Bombay boy.
Things have changed due to social media.
Time when he started to speak candid and casually on TV was never seen before now it’s common .
But he is better than most of course sometimes very annoying 👑

the story of javed sneaking into faiz sahab's room drunk, having whiskey and sleeping in his suite is hillarious. My imagination took me to the 1960s

Ok, after my initial shock and comment on Cyrus in long pants, excellent episode , credit to both Javed sahaab and Cyrus. Superb anecdotes but the best part was when JA said “dont listen to him, ask me anything “ he was ready for more dialog but IVM/cyrus always in a hurry to end things 😢 . Loved this one.
