- Mr. Javed Akhtar is one of the most talked about and glorified writers in Indian Cinema. He has given some hit movies like Deewar, Sholay, Don and many more. This was all with the help of his successful collaboration with Salim Khan. On the second episode of The Invincibles, Javed Sahab’s face lit up as he spoke about his close friend Salim Khan and why things fell off years back. Javed Sahab also spoke about his addiction to alcohol and his much-talked-about second marriage with Shabana Azmi.

Javed Sa'ab eloquent and intelligent as always but I am also very impressed with the way Arbaaz Khan interviewed him. It was not just a run of the mill interview, it has history, sentiments and memories attached. best wishes, Arbaaz.

Arbaaz is by far the best interviewer we have today! A hidden talent indeed and a natural flair. Wonderful session just like Salim Saab.

Arbaaz couldn't ask the same question he asked Salim Khan. Regarding the relatively less successful "other sons" as compared to Salman. He should have asked the same question, looking at the success of Salim's son in the film industry vs that of his own son, his opinion and feeling. Of course we all know what he would have answered, but still asking it would have made this interview much better.
Please increase the duration of the show. 30 mins is too short a time listening to legends like Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar. Their witt, intelligence, craft, struggles and rebellions should be told comprehensively. These people are the real motivators or influencers who will remain relevant for ages.

I had no idea Arbaaz Khan was such a good interviewer ! Can we please have a one hour show ? Javedsahab is of course a National Treasure, & I'm currently reading JADUNAMA his authorised biography. If you admire Javedsahab, you cannot fail to love the book which is resplendent with memorable pictures & many unknown facts about his life & particularly about the outstanding decades -long breath of his impeccable writting. Sir : Respect.

Wow!!! Listening to Javed Akhtar is an experience. A couple of weeks back listened to his Lallantop Newsroom episode. 3 hours of bliss. Maja aa gaya Javed Sahaab. Thank You Arbaaz for bringing Javed Akhtar to the show.

Not a big fan of Arbaaz khan but he is just better of a host then 99% of the hosts on interior national tv these day. Very classy and pays highest level of respect to his adults and most importantly he lets his guests speak and never ever distracts them . Quality show

Arbaaz was so honest and his body language was extremely respectful. The way he called 'Javed saab' truly shows he is super dignified 😊 Great to learn about Javed sir path breaking journey and how he made his way up slowly so much to learn from his career graph.
Na mai Salim-Javed ke peak ke waqt paida hua tha, na maine unki saari films dekhi hain, na hi dono me se kisi ko kabhi door se hi sahi dekha ho, milna to door...magar is interview ke second half me jab unke professional split ki baat aayi to dekhte hue meri aankhen zara bhar aayin...they must really have been something great 🙌🏻
PS- KV Vijender Prasad ji (writer of al SSRajamouli films and Bajrangi Bhaijaan) said in an interview that Sholay is his film school, before starting writing any new story he watches Sholay few times to get how they (Salim-Javed) managed multiple plot points multi starrer cast back in 1975.

Wonderful show. One expected Javaid Akhtar to be his usual charming and informative self but Arbaaz totally held his own as the interviewer. Javaid Sb rightfully calls Arbaaz a charmer.

One thing I noticed after watching various interviews with many actors, directors and writers was that the old generation was much more knowledgeable, fearless and truthful. I loved both episodes and want to thank Arbaaz Khan It is a commendable job that he is doing right now because the way he is taking the interview is absolutely beautiful and we learn a lot from others' successes and failures.

It's always a treat listening to Javed saab, but TBH Arbaz is surprisingly good at conducting interviews and specially asking difficult questions without making it awkward.
I heard Salim saab and Javed saab’s interviews in a row. Both very so introspective.
Particularly loved the part where Javed saab said that we became civil with each other so breaking apart was obvious.
