  • We have launched an economical range of high feed cutters and inserts for productive machining of a wide variety of materials.
    The versatile Pramet SBN10 cutters are suitable for copy milling, ramping, helical interpolation, slotting and plunging. Its unique pocket design can also carry inserts for shoulder and face milling, offering a complete package for mold and die applications, from roughing to finishing.
    To support this addition, we have introduced an assortment of BNGX10 inserts for high feed roughing. The patented double sided insert with four cutting edges provides an economical and versatile option.
    Its design makes it suitable for high feed roughing even with long overhang, while being compatible with three geometries covering most machined materials. Geometry M is for steels and cast irons, MM for low carbon steels, stainless steels and super alloys, while HM is suitable for hardened steel.

    These look exactly like the Tungaloy DoFeed series

    We can do this with Tungaloy. The big difference between Tunaloy and Pramet is, we can actually buy Tungaloy. It seems nobody stocks Pramet inserts in the US, so, we stopped buying them.

      @Dormerpramet  Před 5 lety

      For a shoulder milling - finishing application the ANHX insert is recommended. For this application the ae should be between 0.1mm to 0.3mm. Thanks for the question.

      @@Dormerpramet Thanks for the answer. However, after purchasing, using, an speaking with your tech representatives, I have found that this tool will not make a 90 degree finished shoulder. Going with a Force AD, and thanks to DP for getting me straightened out.

    Machine looks like it's data starving on the inside of the deep curve around 1:55. Are you data starving, or just slowing waaaaaay down on the inside of that corner?

    • @Dormerpramet
      @Dormerpramet  Před 4 lety

      Thanks Peter for your comment. Not sure what you mean by data starving, but the pitch of the machine changes due to the amount of cutter in contact at that point of the program. This video is just a brief demonstration to show the tool in action.
