I’ll tell you what Filipino alphabet doesn’t have and what we have. No letter C, we have letter K; no letter F, we gave letter P; no letter J, we have letter D; no letter Q, we have letter, we have letter K; no letter V, we have letter B; no letter X, we have letter K; no letter Z, we have letter S (a lot of Filipinos pronounce Z as “sey”)
I guess what influences the way we pronounce words in English is in Filipino, we pronounce all the letters, we pronounce the words as it is spelled :)
@@uttamshukla3728 nahhhh indians' speaking English is a struggle to understand, Filipino's speak English very clear and understandable
@@uttamshukla3728 mostly though, not all, sorry for the offense, I don't mean to offend you, It's based on my experience, I meet them online and I struggle to understand their words.
Filipino's english are pretty straightforward based from what I experienced, hearing them talk in english.
@@uttamshukla3728 Please just accept that non-indians struggle to understand your national accent....
@@uttamshukla3728 Indian accent is the worst in the world. Just deal with it.
yes... most Filipinos will enunciate every syllable of the word because that is one of the basic rules in speaking any of the languages (or most of them) in the Philippines...
A Filipino accent is actually fluid. Put a Filipino in France and they'll have that French accent after 6 months. In the US they'll adopt the accent of the state they're in. That's also why Filipinos sing well, they are basically human parrots.
Human parrots 😅 so funny but it's quite true 😂
The Filipino language is phonetic, words are spelt the way they sound, so that's why maybe most would pronounce the english words syllable by syllable, when americans pronounced them with a lot of silent letters or shortened/rolling syllables.
But yeah, even in here, different places also have their different accents depending on where they are. Like, southern accents in here most likely will have a rougher/stronger pronunciations. That's because every region in PH has their own local dialect/language.
And it's easy to spell because you hear every single letters in a word.
Americans more on slang or glides
I agree with the one u said, southern accents, if you’re talking about southern luzon, then you’re definitely right! I am from Batangas and Batangueño accent is definitely a rough accent, we are even called out for always sounding like we are mad, but in reality we are just trying to explain something
Alodia's accent isn't really what most Filipinos sound like, her accent sounds like those "Filipino rich kids" which we often call "Sosyal/Conyo" who grew up speaking English. Most people here roll their Rs like in the word "Caramel" she said "Ca-Ruh-Mel" but if I were to say it, I would roll the R and say "Ca-Rah-Mel" or in the word "Tricycle" I'd say "Trai-See-Kel" but yeah Filipino accent is diverse, people sound different depending what region they are from.
Yeah, I'm a middle class kid but I have a similar accent to her. You're totally right on that point.
ah conyo🤣
middle class filipino accent is basically the American accent except you don't slur the words and pronounce the syllables extremely clearly.
Maybe you mean sosyal ( sohs-yal). Susyal is pronounced soos-yahl.
@@cynthiabianzon5408 For me there's hardly any difference lol but atleast you get the point 😂 that's how me and my friends spell it
I want to say that for me Filipino accent is neutral and it’s easy to understand. You should have finished watching the video till the end so you have learned how good Alodia is when it comes to gaming.
Easy for you to understand because you’re Filipino. Doesn’t mean it’s correct. You just can’t justify it. Filipinos didn’t invent the language.
@@frisc0pn0ib0i Lol. When I said the accent of Filipino is easy to understand it’s because we read the word usually according to its spelling and unlike other English speaking countries where there are deleted or silent letters in a word when they pronounce it. Americans did not invent the word English either. get it?
@@frisc0pn0ib0i We read the words the way how it is spelled.
And we also spell Filipino words the way how we pronounce it... like Hospital in Spanish into Ospital in Filipino.
@@wynncruz1467 yeah!!!!
@@frisc0pn0ib0i op's point is that filipino accent is easy to understand as we read it the way it is spelled. there's no such thing as correct and incorrect when it comes to accent. i repeat, there's no such thing. i am an english major, but as long as how you say the language is understandable, then that's it. no need for justification. and even native english speakers didn't invent the language, i might as well say it.
fyi, tagalog accent has strong spanish influence. filipinos themselves have different accents based on the regions where they're from. :)
I'm so happy the Philippines is getting more recognition now
We have this English accent because we follow the Baybayin, we speak syllable by syllable, word by word. And I think there's nothing wrong with that, and it's kinda unique.
In Filipino language, Filipino words are pronounced by syllable. We even had this taught to us by our Filipino subject teachers "kung ano ang baybay, siya ang basa" which translates however it is written is its pronunciation. So when we learn the English language our initial reading practice got a little confused. It may be the sexiest accent as we put emphasis on every single sound the language produces.
8:33 They put a lot of emphasis on the syllables.
Me, a Filipino: ..that's how our native language is :'D We talk by syllables. A, E, I, O, U
Yeah I would say the same is true in the Philippines, too. We have different accents when speaking English depending on the region of the country the speaker is from. It also depends on how you were taught as a child. I was once told I had a Canadian accent even tho I’d never been to Canada. That’s only cos I was taught to speak that way. (Tho I never say aboot heh)
I have British accent and I'd never been to UK
@@Sean-il7ko that’s awesome!
@@omgee9802 😆
@@Sean-il7ko and that's because... hmmm... sabaok

Loved your reactions! Oh by the way guys, at 3:35 'baon' actually refers to provisions (packed meals, money or supply) you take with you when you travel away from home. Alodia is making fun of how Americans pronounce it.
That's because in Tagalog, we pronounce everything, consonant and vowels, everything.
And we have the term "hiram na salita" which means borrowed words. When we don't have the equivalent word or we can't think of word equivalent to that, we borrow it and spell it on how we pronounce that word.
Ex.
leader → lider
teacher → titser
Im filipino
Should've seen the end where Alodia does all the first gen pokemon.. 😁
That was the best part 🤣
yeah 👌
I was about to comment this! I was waiting for that part!
I myself grew up speaking english first BEFORE learning Tagalog (because I grew up watching western shows like cartoon network and nickelodeon). I used to have a more foreign accent, and learning tagalog made me have a filipino accent. I can switch both accents when I like it. I sometimes say Joo-tee instead of Duty and vice versa. It really depends on where you live, but generally this accent is the "common" sound or whatever.
Same here
Jootee is correct in bristlsh english.
My God Alodia is making me tear up right now. She's so hilarious! 🤣 Us Filipinas are that natural and funny.
3:35 if you guys don't grasp the "baon" joke, it means pocket money to spend for school recess/break time or it can be a bento, like lunch box. just fyi heee😁
Proud to have a Filipino accent 😀😀
Add the fact that Filipino's language is mostly mora-timed language. That's why Alodia's pronounciation, like "Content" and "intestine", the syllable is equal
Thank you for choosing our accent I am proud Pinoy 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I remembered when I told my co-worker, "kal-shoom" and he said, "whut?" ahaha he was so confused until I described it, he exclaimed, "ahh calcium(kal-see-yum)" lolol
I'm here and I'm a Filipino!
Filipino alphabet is written by syllables except for the vowels so Filipinos tend to pronounce word by syllables also and slang is uncommon
Filipino and most (if not all) of the native languages in the Philippines are considered as phonetic languages (i.e. you read /pronounce it how it is spelled). That is why a lot of Filipinos also apply this when speaking English.
This is in contrast to how most native English speakers speak. In the US, for example, the schwa (the vowel sound in an unaccented syllable) is very common when pronouncing words.
Yes,another Filipino Content!
There is just so many accents in the Philippines. As you know we have tons of languages. People here also have different tones of speaking
Want to see your reaction of Bisaya of Cebuano people here in Philippines ,their accent is cutee and niceee!
toothbrush - tupbras
toothpaste - kolgit
oil - owel
coffee - nescapi
bruh no pls im shy😩
I'm new to your channel and I'm Filipino! I'm happy that you make videos about Filipinos :>
That was a lot of fun guys!
Yes pinoy put emphasis on each vowels and syllables mainly because of our own language or dialect... we were thought to pronounce by syllables together with the vowel combinations...and we only have 5 vowel sounds plus sometimes glutteral stop...
like
Ba be bi bo bu
Ka ke ki ko ku
Ya ye yi yo yu
Wa we wi wo wu
Etc....
I laughed so hard alodia is so cute to handle🤣😆😆😆
I am getting addicted to your videos!!😂😂😂 thank you guys!
Filipinos has more than 120 or so dialect and each and every dialect has a different phonetics. pronunciation of alphabet are different as well. what you just encounter is a Tagalog speaking person.

*I MISS YOU GUYS!*
Not all filos does, but i once told that my accent is like an american accent and yeahh i think so too. And it depends on you if you practicing yourself on it. 🙃
dagdag views na naman hahaha
As a language student I am really enjoying this video, actually I will never ever forget what our teacher told us that there is no standard English, and a lot of English exist not just the English we know like for example: American English, British English and so on, and that video, the girl's English was actually a Filipino English. And as what I have observe as a Filipino also that we usually emphasize or pronounce the letter/syllable.
im halfway through the video and i can already see the struggle you guys have while us filipinos do it so easily i guess its the tongue flexibility
“Different school, different pronunciation.” LOL 😂
The important thing is you are able to share your thoughts and express it so that other people will understand it.
New sub here..nice video..thanks guys..much❤️from the phil🇵🇭
Hahahaha... Filipino accent is one of a kind.
Laptrip talaga tong mag ex
You're both right dude! We are a syllabic speaker 😅

I'm Filipino and I Learned English when I was 4 yr old
as a filipino/french citizen but born and grew up in PH..
I can say i relate to this kind of videos XD
Hey Filipino accents when it comes to english speaking is depend on what kind of english they have learned. Not all pinoy speaking english has the same accents huh. Some speak british and others are american accents .But mostly pinoy knew the simpliest and basic thats why their/our accents is depends from the pronounciation of the letters.
Next reacting to top 10 best goal in AFF Suzuki cup 2020,very proud if you guys do that for asean. greetings from Asean🇧🇳🇰🇭🇮🇩🇱🇦🇲🇾🇲🇲🇵🇭🇸🇬🇹🇭🇹🇱🇻🇳
hahaha I remember my filipino accent coming on the word "Comforter"
Hahaha i love this episode...😂😂😂
I love u guys for doing this……
In school we were taught to pronounce every letter, this is why we are good in spelling :) Our English was first taught in the early 1900s, more British influence.
more of these please
They are still together in this video aw
please do the video with his mom... it was hilarous..😉
Wait till you hear the bisaya people here in the philippines speak english.😁😁😁
alodia's accent has similarities to british like the addition of yod in words like tuesday, new, tube and duke. also the pronounciation of h in words like herb. british will pronounce the word hoof like alodia's as well
If you try to say the letter "U" it spells like "Yu" so when you read "Du" in filipino accent english it spells like Dyu or Ju
Both of you are gwapo (handsome) ❤️
Actor Rob Schneider, the one with Adam Sandler in the Hippopotamus Meme is part Filipino. His Maternal Grandma was a Filipina.
my stomach ache! I keep on laughing!
I don't wanna get used to it .cs every country has it's own unique style .
Proud te be Filipino here😃
LAUGHTRIP
8:49 great observation 👌
HHAHHAHAHHAHA literally the sexiest 🤣char
Because for me, here In the Philippines has especially in school we used the book an Anglo-American English. So that some of word(s) sounded in the another letter/alphabet like (ex: Dew- American Accent. Jew/joo- in Philippines Accent) and also the here the Philippines the pronounciation is by syllable.
As Long you understand each other even in different accent its enough..
11:51 Oh my G, you sound robot here ✌️😅
Grabe aliw... 🤣
It's funny how their is same restaurants in Philippines that America has like McDonald's, 7-Eleven and more...
To be inalienable with one's accent isn't a matter of understanding, it's worthy of knowing the culture, too, and of personal experience whether the subject has gone into somewhere or just trained under limited space, I think.
U should react to Philippines cheer dance competition
one of the reason why most Filipino speak like that 8:44 because it's what they tough us in school which is we need to emphasize the syllables to make it sound clearer
Watching from Brampton, Ontario, Canada ❤😮❤😅❤😊❤
Haha I’m a full Filipino but I have Spanish, Italian, German, British and Korean accent. And some foreigners said that my English speaking is so different from other Filipinos lol. But when I speak Tagalog I have Filipino accent.
moved in cali in 2016, learned fast but the accent is still there.
It's that we really pronounce the word as how we read it is😅
Filipino English accent is basically sounds funny for me! Also i am also Filipino
Cool
yes we pronounce all the letters, because you know what, some people they cut some letters, then their spelling wrong....I experienced that.. I'm the one who corrected their spelling.....so I'm proud for our accent...
one of the reasons probably was, the vowels are pronounced differently in the philippines.
Please react to filipina toxic tiktok challenge please please please
Read "ENGLISH IS A TOUGH STUFF". It's quite fun and informative as well. 😁😁😁
nakaka bobo at the same time, nakaka tawa! i am so proud to be filipino. 😂
Different pronunciation different accent.
Filipino English pronounciation is pronounce by emphasizing clear all the syllables ...
We are taught to pronounce all the syllables clearly in Tagalog / Filipino reading just like in Spanish reading so we tend to pronoune ENGLISH the the same reading style or technique.
Thus make our English speaking easy to understand by everynody because of CLARITY of pronouncing words
Gosu hoon will flip when she see these😂🤣🤣🤣
Apparently we Filipinos when we reading it we pronounce it in complete spellings that is why. You see it’s more fun in the pilipins 🤣 😂
Hahaha nakakatawa si ate Alodia,,at kuya will,,
I like them so much
We pronounce words syllable by syllable as what we read a filipino language like tagalog.
Nakakatawa si Alodia😂❤
Watch the part 2 with her mom
Its just that filipinos tend to forget when to use their F and V simply because we dont have those in our local language.... sometimes its hard because we tend to translate our language first into english before we say them... also most who live in the provinces have their own local dialects so it means most filipinos are trilingual
not to mention that we Filipinos tend to switch F to P and vice versa, the same goes with V to B.
Filipinos also say "wa-ter" xD (I'm one of them xD)
Hi guys.. Pls react ohwon lee and SB 19. ..love yours thank you.
