Beautiful mod, beautiful look. For asthetics do not use the rail riser just put the fake ammo counter on (the riser is only meant for using optics that do not come with the blaster). If you want a consistent look make a second motor cover and glue it on to the blaster at the same point on the other side. The best addition to the perfomance would be to make it full auto.
You just made a legendary looking blaster, something that was missing,a legendary foam factor power, don't worry about the ammo counter. As a fan of Halo, Noble 6 and Master Chief are regarding you with respect and salute you like a spartan. Thanks a lot. P.D. : Nerfers do what Nerfdon't.
Actually, that dust cover isn't as out of place as it seems. I can't remember how it looks exactly, it's been a while. But, there's a mod for the AR in Halo 5 that adds some sort of jet off the side of the gun. So, there's a precedent for that sort of addition to be made.

Man. Nice job. Considering the degree of modification, I'm less worried about the change in esthetics and more impressed in the retro fitting and engineering. That black cover is a small price to pay for the finished product and it makes for a good conversation starter. Love to see people's faces when you explain what the cover is for.

you can take the ammo counter off the piece that raises it in the way, also that piece is used to attach scopes.

I just watched this video for 2nd today. Getting inspiration for what I hope to be an active summer. If I were to start tomorrow, I might have time for a Halloween build I started last year. A Revoltinator Integration.
I just used a small voltmeter in the ammo counter spot on my gel blaster, doesn't count shots, but give similar feel.
I like it, I'd just remove the spacer from below the "screen" section so its not sitting so high

Love what you have done for this blaster! I am looking to do similar for mine. it is my first blaster an I am trying to wrap my head around everything. What lipo battery are you using that is able to power those 4 motors and fit in the battery compartment?

@@drflux Project Nerf on YT has done an in depth guide on making it full auto! Quite a bit of work due to the lack of a dedicated MA40 auto kit, but the results were great!

For this exact build, what measurements were done for the Tommy flywheel cage? Like the one he uses? It is from 42mm to 45mm and I don’t know what one it is.
Nice mod. I have trouble with my son's MA40 not grabbing the Darts with the stock flywheels (stock setup)? The Darts are aftermarket and maybe that's an issue. Can you give me any recommendation how to solve the issue?

wish the game code could have worked for mssterchief collection . Microsoft should add the nerf codes to the chief collection. That be cool to see chief using a toy gun. In halo reach/1/2/3/4= nerf by hasbro.
Id pay you to do that mod. It also looks like weapon used in Starship troopers which is based on the Morita assault rifle.

How to mod the battery. Instead of using C BATTERIES 🔋. IS there anyway to use removable LITHAION BATTERYIES. SO IT CAN BE RECHARGE USING TYPE C. IF THE BATTERY EVENTUALLY LOSES IT YOUTH. COULD BE MADE TO SWAPP OUT

Just remove the rail riser. You're not meant to use the riser with the "screen"

looking through the comments, it looks like i'm the only one triggered by the 3d printed cage then the added putty. just add a tower to the print, and reupload it, then it's useful to everyone else.

I am thinking of doing similar, but I want to keep the fps to around 120-150. my two most pertinant question though is this blaster wide enough to put something like a dessert pidgeon flywheel set up in here and how hard would it be to put an auto pusher in?
yeah worker hurricane flywheels and flywheel of the world sized cages fit much better
@@drflux my idea is essentially a mix of yours and project nerf's, turn it into a proper AR, add in a functional airsoft flashlight, and paint it to look like the MA37 from Reach. also you didn't need the riser with the faux ammo counter.

they are a dart made by dartzone that are cheaper, more accurate, and more durable than nerfs elite dart.

A good justice but it could be full auto lol. Reason I say this is because the gun in game is a full auto assault rifle not semi auto lol.
When a toy gun becomes a bb gun
A bb fired from a bb gun travels around 500 fps and has such a low surface volume they are 1000 times more dangerous.
Won't show wiring, won't explain advantages of new motors,won't show adding new batteries but will talk at length about dust cover (which could have been unnecessary if a precision hole was cut) and ergonomics.
Found your video/channel since I'm very disappointed by the performance of the nerf AR and was hoping to see how to mod it. All the Important stuff how to do that was glossed over and minor stuff was discussed/portrayed at length like unboxing. Very cool mod, would have like to see the step by step of doing the mod instead of fluff.
