I want these rims for my cmax
thanks 👍 they do look nice on them 👌
After all this job being done, the front left still having problem seems like caliper don't go back nicely without being a single rust piece in it.
Any idea what can be the problem?
Caliper can be rebuild?
Possible caliper or abs pump issue
Good call not blathering everything in copper grease 👍 and dead right to mention going easy while locating those calliper sliders your in a world of pain if you cross thread those I’ve only done it once never again.
Thanks Kev 👍 lol same here mate, did it on a polo in my early days! had to Get a new carrier..😬 soon leant my lesson! ha
Do u think the back of the disc to the hub should have some copper greese?
Good job ! Thanks !
Thank you too! 👍
Where’s jacking point for trolley jack 2014 grand c max
Not sure off the top of my head , pretty sure there some markers on the sills for them
I like to turn my caliper 90 Deg and hang it on the damper coil whilst I change the discs
👍👍 I sometimes do that
Hi mate. Thanks for the tutorial. I assume the rear is the exact same?
very similar mate but the pistons need to be wound bak with a special tool, if not it can be done with a g clamp and a screwdriver but ideally you'll need a windback tool
Thank you of vidéo
Welcome 😊
Is it never necessary to open the bleeder screw when pushing back the piston(s)? I assume the fluid has space to "go somewhere", however I have watched my bro-in-law changing brakes - and he always opens the bleeder screw when pushing back the pistons.
Yeah some people do like to, personally I never do unless there’s an issue , always take the brake fluid reservoir cap off though
@@diydaly Thanks for the comment, I will do it the way you describe it, that´s how I´ve done it so far also 🙂
Hi, I couldn't get the piston to budge on rear disc, first time trying to do this myself. I presume this is because I missed the step of opening the brake reservoir cap first.
if you are doing the rear brakes you need to wind the piston in with a windback tool.. the rears are different to the front
@@diydaly I never got the caliper off the housing, does handbrake need to be off, after I removed sliding pins why does the caliper seem stuck on still, I have bought a c clamp to rotate back the piston but need to get caliper off first, thanks for your reply.
@@sod2068 yes mate the handbrake needs to be off, you can use a c clamp but you need to turn it at the same time .. it it wont move at all then your caliper is siezed
@@diydaly Thanks man, will let ya know how I get on with it later in the week.
@@sod2068 👍
tych prowadnic się nie smaruje żadnym smarem
MORE GREESE .... OMG NOOOOOOOOO.
